I have lots of things I want to blog about right now, but we interrupt our regular posting for this special post.
today is Soldier Boy's 30th birthday.
I am so lucky to have Soldier Boy in my life. He is my rock. He is constantly providing support, love, and belief in my dreams. He holds me when life gets hard, tickles me to make me laugh, and kisses the world away. He really is the best boyfriend in the entire world.
Happy Birthday Sweetheart - I love you!!
tonight I'm hosting a dinner party with friends and such - there will be 9 (i think? if i counted right...) adults at this party. I'm more than a little nervous to be making food and what not for so many people. but I know it will all be worth it. birthdays are a big deal in my world and Soldier Boy better get used to that! :o)

a birthday hangover....
I'm just a little on the tired side of life this morning. I had the BEST birthday last night! It was utterly fantastic. Let's get onto Thursday Things and I'll share some details....and PICTURES!!
- Like I said, FANTASTIC BIRTHDAY party last night. It was just Sister B, her husband and Solider Boy. (plus me of course)
- Dinner was HOMEMADE by Soldier Boy and it was my favorite dish of all time - Chicken Cordon Bleu. mmmm...I have leftovers for lunch or dinner today and I'm rather excited about that. :o)
- I was kidnapped last night and then Roommate A helped Solider Boy out by decorating the apt...it was a princess themed birthday party. It was fantastic.
- After the AMAZING dinner we played my new game (oh! I almost forgot! My sister had hid ALL of my presents in my apartment and I had to go looking for them...it was very creative. I loved it)
- One of my other presents was this adorable piggy bank:
- isn't she cute? :o)
- After presents and games and dinner...we went to Trafalga (wearing my birthday crown!) and played a round of mini-golf. Fantastic fun right there.
- THEN it was time for cake. I LOVE cake. My sister made THE BEST cake EVER!
- Seriously, is that not the CUTEST cake you have EVER seen? I loved it!!
- Honestly, it was the BEST birthday ever!
- Tonight I get my birthday jam at Blue Tango. I'm REALLY excited about this.
- Tomorrow is my day off and I get to play with my Truit.
- Saturday I'm going to dinner w/my friends and stuff. I'm excited for that.
- one week from today I'll be in Disneyland! :o) YAY DISNEYLAND!!!!!!!!!
- Pretty much, the next 10 days are going to be SUPER DUPER AWESOME!
- Finally, today's photo-a-day prompt was: WINDOW. Here's my bedroom window looking out.... have a great day y'all!

Happy Friday!!
I am SO happy that it is finally Friday. This has been one VERY long week and I am very much looking forward to my weekend of Halloween celebrations!
So without further ado...Friday Fill-Ins!
1. Beware of spiders and other spooky creatures..
2. I am definitely not ready for the snow.
3. And since we are on the subject, I've decided I need to learn how to snowboard this winter.
4. Do you believe in supernatural spirits?
5. Where there is chocolate is where I want to be right now.
6. Any kind of soup is one of my favorite meals when it's cold out.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a couple of Halloween parties, tomorrow my plans include running a 5k, doing some baking and enjoying Stake Conference and Sunday, I want to enjoy the fact that I don't have any extra meetings and I can take a nap!

Surprise #2!!
Today was surprise #2!
This surprise was for my mommy. I contacted all her friends and we threw her a surprise 50th birthday party. It was so much fun and we laughed and laughed and laughed. It was a grand ol' time and I love my mommy so much! She's the best ever. :o) I 'm so glad I've gotten to be raised by her and such. She's amazing.
There's only one more surprise and then we're all done with surprises for a VERY long time. My head was about to burst with all these secrets in my head.

Tender Mercy Tuesday - Birthday Edition
Hello dear friends. I love Tuesdays. For me they have been such a great time for reflection and review of the past week. Sundays are also a good day for that, but after the craziness of a Monday it's always nice to take some time on Tuesday to look back and see what wonderful things have blessed my life in the past week.
I have had several small and tender blessings this week, but the one that stands out the most is one that happened on Saturday. I was getting ready for my birthday party when I received a phone call from a dear friend of mine, former RS President and former visiting teacher. She wanted to stop by and visit! I was so excited to see her. :o) She came bearing a wonderful birthday present (which was just SO thoughtful of her!) and apologies for not being able to come and celebrate with me. I didn't mind and I thought she was just the most wonderful thing in the world for stopping by to visit with me on her own time earlier in the day.
I have been so very blessed with the best friends in the world. I realized this weekend as I saw all the people who turned up to support me and celebrate my special day with me that I need to be a better friend. I need to return the favor of sending people little notes, dropping off a special something, or calling just to say hello. It's not that hard to be a good friend - I just need to do it. :o)
What has blessed your life in the past week?

On this day....
....TWENTY-FIVE years ago today, a cute 5lb 14oz baby girl was born into this world.
That cute baby girl was me folks! Today I turn 1/4 of a century old. I can't believe I made it to this point in my life! I remember as a 8-year old thinking that being a teenager - 17 or so - would be the coolest thing ever. I hate to disappoint my childhood self, but 25? Definitely the coolest thing ever.
I had a wonderful party on Saturday. My superhero themed party was a huge hit. We played pin the cape on the super hero, broke a piñata, and ate cake! Some of my favorite people came to celebrate with me and it was just wonderfulness in one night!
Happy Birthday to ME!!!!

Birthday Friday Fun!
Hey y'all! guess what? My birthday is on Monday! I'm spending the weekend celebrating with friends and stuff and I'm rather excited about it! In years past I've managed to get my birthday to last a week or so, I think it will last about 3 days this year. :o) Regardless, it should be a fun milestone birthday and I'm looking forward to eating cake. I love cake.
In other news Tron is NOT coming to my birthday party. :( stupid soccer game. He is, however, stopping by my place tonight to 1)bring me my mug and 2)see me. heee. Can you tell I'm just a little bit twitterpated over him?
Also, birds are chirping outside my office window this morning. Love the chirping birds! Even though it is supposed to snow on my birthday (that is not a happy birthday gift mother nature!) I can definitely tell that spring is coming. :o)
Finally, A little friday-fill ins for you followed by my favorite Friday Foto of the week! weee!!!! Enjoy your weekend y'all!!!
1. Bring your favorite Disney movie and we'll have a movie marathon!
2. I love it when batteries are included.
3. My birthday is exactly THREE days away!
4. Well, you see, I love cake, balloons, parties, friends and pinatas! Why wouldn't I love birthdays?
5. I'll be able to rent a car soon!
6. But what if snows? Then I'll make a snowman! I still have yet to play in the snow this year...
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a visit from Tron and birthday party preparations, tomorrow my plans include ballet, my birthday party and stake conference and Sunday, I want to enjoy stake conference and my dinner party with Truit and husband!
I just love this image...this perfectly depicts what spring is like in Utah. Love it. Have a great weekend y'all!

Thursday Things!
Good morning all y'all! Did you have a good hump day? Did you get through with everything intact? I most certainly did although some of my tasks I wanted to complete fell by the wayside, but hey c'est la vie right?
Anywho, I am full of random things so let's get this show on the road shall we?
Anywho, I am full of random things so let's get this show on the road shall we?
- first off, yesterday was Dr. Seuss's birthday. I didn't do anything to celebrate, but seeing my cute little Thursday things logo makes me happy.
- I got my hairs did yesterday. I love going to the salon! It's so relaxing. I didn't do anythign drastic (although I considered it) and I decided last night that I'm not going to drastically cut my hair until after my 26th birthday. So...in a year. It's taken me a long time to get my hair long and I want to enjoy it! So...just a trim and color updates for me for the next year! woo hoo! (by telling you this, you're going to hold me to it right internets? can you handle that for me?)
- My birthday in in FOUR days! I am so excited to turn 25. I really am! It's going to be the best year ever!
- Speaking of birthdays, I'm having an awesome birthday party this weekend. I'll try to remember to take pictures and stuff. :o) Should be fun times!
- I hate the yo-yo-ness of Utah weather between Winter and Spring. The beginning of this week was just simply gorgeous and today....not so much. While I don't think O-town will see any snow, there will be plenty of rain and cold winds. :(
- March is shaping up to be absolutely wonderful. I'm loving it!!
- I haven't gotten much sleep this week - I've tried to get to bed I really have! However, things keep popping up that are either a) more fun, b) more important or c) more fun. What can I say? I'm a flirt.
- Also, moments ago Tron texted me to just say hi and apologize for being too busy to talk to me. Honestly? I've been so busy myself that I haven't minded, but I definitely noticed. I'm so excited that this guy is thoughtful!

Tender Mercy Tuesday - 13th Edition
Hello dearies. Can you believe it is already Tuesday this week? I certainly can't. I enjoyed yesterday immensely (love me the start of a new week!) and I'm looking forward to tonight as well. Basically, this whole week is going to ROCK. Just in case you needed a reminder, my birthday is in SIX days! I am so stoked!! I'm having a party with some of my friends on Saturday and I am very much looking forward to THAT.
In the meantime, let's get to the real part of this post today - the tender mercy part.
I had the wonderful opportunity to go to a convert baptism for a new member of my ward on Sunday evening. It was a wonderful experience and as I sat there reflecting on my own baptism and life in the gospel I had the wandering thought of "What would my life be like if I hadn't been raised in the Church?" I thought about this for a long time and while I don't like to think what if's all too often I was reminded of the many, MANY blessings I have had because I HAVE been a member my entire life. I am so blessed to know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and who looks out for me. He has a plan for me and I am so glad that SOMEONE knows where I am going. It is very comforting.
Anyways, it was a nice time of reflection and my testimony was strengthened by attending the baptism that night.
I hope all y'all have a grandios Tuesdsay - I know I will. ;)
P.S. A Dating Battle Stories post will hopefully be coming tomorrow. :o) Be excited!

Bravery
Sometimes I pretend to be brave and sometimes I am ACTUALLY brave.
Saturday I pretended to be brave, but yesterday - yesterday I was actually brave.
Yesterday after my church meetings and after choir I introduced myself to a new guy in the ward. I talked to him for a long time and I feel like we clicked just a little bit. I felt so good about myself for getting my flirt on and what not. GO ME!
Also, I was brave yesterday because I initiated an online conversation with SwingKid. This is the first time that we've had a real-time conversation in eight weeks and it was good. I held my breath a couple of times, but overall it was good.
I am excited for today - if only because the countdown to the show begins. :o) The next 10 days are going to be busy. I have a laundry date with my sister, a temple trip to make, friends to see, dentist appointments to make, a couple hours of rehearsal (we still have to finish our piece! EEK!), a Winter-een-mas party, a Saturday FULL of rehearsals and then a show to present. It is going to be a full week and I am excited for it.

don't mind me...
I'm just trying to get through the work day! I am SO SO SO excited about my weekend plans! They all start at about 6 pm tonight...and the fun will just continue on through most of Saturday. :o)
anywho...It's thursday! So that means....
anywho...It's thursday! So that means....
- It is my 3-day weekend. This makes my heart super happy. I have a bazillion things going on and that also makes me happy.
- Today I get to go to my BEST friend's wedding. Also on the docket for today is rehearsal (2.5 weeks to show guys! EEK!) and Blue Tango dancing.
- Tomorrow has many things going on including going to the Temple with sister B, taking a ballet class, cleaning my house, and going on a blind date.
- I haven't been on a blind date since CPM. I'm a little nervous.
- Pair my busy schedule with Sweetums' busy schedule and you get chaos. We've talked and tried to get together this week to no avail. Makes me sad. Hopefully next week will treat us both a little bit better.
- I haven't logged into Facebook while at work since January 1. I am awesome. It has been hard, but SO GOOD for me.
- My CTR ring is not fitting my finger very well right now. It's a little on the big side. I think my fingers have lost weight.
- Is that possible? do fingers lose weight?
- The receptionist came back EARLY! I thought she was going to be gone until MONDAY. Thank goodness. I hate covering for her.
- Finally, I'm still thinking about birthday party ideas. Right now I am leaning towards a Super Hero birthday party. What do you think?

Dating Battle Stories: Mad Dog
Time for another Dating Battle Stories Recap!!! Today's receap is all about my great guy friend, Mad Dog. Some of you might recognize the name Mad Dog, and not just from the introductions I did at Christmastime. Mad Dog and I met swing dancing about 2ish years ago. I went to his birthday party once.
Anyways, shortly after SwingKid broke up with me Mad Dog and I were conversing on Facebook. (sidenote: I do a lot of chatting with friends on Facebook, but this doesn't mean that I am on Facebook ALL THE TIME. ok? ok.) Anyways, because I didn't make a big to-do about my sudden single-ness he hadn't heard the news. I told him and we talked like friends tend to do. He's an awesome friend and a few days later sent me a text. We texted back and forth a little bit and it ended with him asking me if I'd like to go hot tubbing with him at his place. Would I ever! I agreed and a time was set upon and I drove over to his place to begin our adventure.
Unfortunately, hot tubbing wasn't meant to be as the hot tub was broken because some dork put detergent in it. Don't ask me why someone would do that...it's just mean. Mad Dog and I chilled in his apartment talking about stuff and ended up watching Inception with his roommate. It was a fun evening and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. (later that night I ended up hanging out with the Australian it was a very late night.)
About a week later - just a few days before I flew to see my family - I invited Mad Dog over to watch a movie at my place. We watched some awful movie with a very young Jude Law in it. That was the only good part about the movie. It was awful.
Mad Dog is a very big flirt. Which tends to work well for me, because I am a very big flirt as well. :o) It always leads to fun times. He's also extremely ticklish. One of the most ticklish guys I know! That is also great because I am so ticklish and I don't think it's fair when I try to retaliate and boys just sit and stare at me. sigh.
Anyways. Mad Dog and I chatted a little bit while I was in Virginia and when I got back we decided to hang out! So the first Sunday in January he came over to my place and we talked, watched Anastasia and just chilled in my living room.
Mad Dog is a great friend and I am SO GLAD he and I can hang out and stuff. It makes my heart happy to have a friend to do things with. I'm sure he'll make a few more appearances in this segment....but we'll wait and see.

When cleaning your room gets to be the "fun" thing you do on a Friday night
Today is the First Friday of the new year. I love Fridays. They make my heart oh so happy! I just wish I had today off. :o( Oh well. I am also sitting her wishing I had fun and amazing plans for my Friday night. Unfortunately for me, I've got nothing. I desperately need to clean my room seeing how I've barely been home a week and I still have piles of Christmas presents and dirty clothes in the corners of my room. Sigh. Since when did cleaning your room become the "fun" thing to do? sigh.
Anyways. There are few things that I wanted to blog about today. The first one being - my birthday! I love my birthday. It is a holiday all about me! At least....I like to think of it that way. :o) Today marks the 2 month countdown until my birthday. 2 months people! In 2 months I will be a quarter of a century old - GAH!
It is a big milestone birthday and because of that, I want to do something AWESOME! I would love to go to Disneyland...but as of right now I'm not sure that's going to happen. I do have another event happening later in March, but I am not at liberty to blog about it yet. I will when I can. :o)
So...the reason I am blogging about my birthday now my dear internet friends is because I need some ideas of what to do for my birthday that are not expensive and I can do them here in Utah. I want to have an awesome birthday party to celebrate. I'm thinking a mocktail party would be really fun but any other ideas you might have would be welcome. I really want to have it be a "themed" party - like a fiesta party or toga party or something. Your thoughts would be much appreciated.
The other thing I wanted to blog today is the Friday Fill-ins. It has been a long time since I have participated in Friday Fill-ins and today I am going to do it. :o) Enjoy!!
1. It's 2011; I am loving this fact. 2011 is rockin' it out hard core y'all.
2. Oh my gosh, I LOVE pickles.
3. Thankfully I have my cute shirt to help with the winter blues.
4. I love how the little things tend to be the best things in life.
5. I am so excited for my future. My future is bright yo.
6. I love eating a bowl of soup on cold days. Warms the soul.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to cleaning my room *sigh*, tomorrow my plans include teaching, a teacher meeting, the gym, a bridal shower and date with Dr. Teeth and Sunday, I want to enjoy my stake training meeting and set up my visiting teaching appointments!

thoughts today
- my running program is treating me so well. I need something similar for weight lifting. After this program ends, (and I start it again at a faster speed to reduce my 5k time) i hope to add strength training to my workout so I can trim down some fat.
- I really want to dance again. another director and i are hoping to do a "directors" piece this year in the gala. we'll see how that goes down.
- tonight is my work Christmas party. It should be fun....although they are serving fish and I hate fish. so that sucks. but the party itself should be fun. :o)
- i'm going dancing tonight. hurrah! i haven't been to Blue Tango in several weeks and I am much looking forward to tonight's dance.
- I don't work tomorrow, but I don't feel like I have the day off. See...tomorrow my cute company girls are presenting "Clara's Nutcracker" along with a bunch of jazz Christmas pieces at 4 different elementary schools. It should be fun.
- Three weeks from yesterday I fly to VA. 20 days. CRAZY!!
- I bought SwingKid's present today. I think he'll like it. I sure hope he will.
- My parent's gift is going to ROCK! I got some amazing news about it yesterday but seeing as how they both read this we'll keep it a secret. If I remember, I'll tell you about it after Christmas.
- I decorated for Christmas and my house looks SO CUTE. I love Christmas decorations
- Have I mentioned how GOOD I feel lately? I attribute it to my running program. It is doing amazing things for me and I am SO SO SO happy I decided to do this couch to 5k program. :o)

Happy Halloween Weekend!!!
It's Halloween weekend you guys! YAY!!! Yesterday at work we celebrated by eating lots of yummy food and dressing up. My coworkers and I coordinated our costumes and did a Grease theme. All of us customer service ladies were Pink Ladies and our boss was one of the T-birds. Wig and all. It was awesome. :o)
Tonight, SwingKid and I have a Halloween party to go to and we are also coordinating costumes and going as a 1920s couple. I am SO SO SO excited. This is the first year, in a long time, that I have ever coordinated costumes with friends and/or a significant other. It makes my heart really happy.
Also. Tomorrow is going to be awesome. My mom sent my outfit back to me (after my sewing machine and I got into a fight) and it looks GORGEOUS on me. I'm so super excited about it. PLUS the ballet should be INCREDIBLE and I am very much looking forward to that as well.
With that, I'll leave you with a Friday Fill-in and hope that you have a spooky Halloween!!! :o)
1. While the cat's away the mice will play. Hard.
2. This weekend is going to be mucho fabuloso!
3. Children say the darndest things.
4. I always like to sit on the couch and veg for a few minutes when I get home from work or shopping or what have you.
5. This may seem odd, but I really love dressing up.
6. Since Halloween falls on a Sunday, I'm celebrating tonight and that seems like a fine idea to me!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to an awesome Halloween party, tomorrow my plans include Ballet West's Carmina Burana and the Four Temperments and Sunday, I want to enjoy the final day of the month!

Ten on Tuesday & a shoutout - or vice versa
So first of all, I have to shoutout to one of the best roommates I've had: Robin. She's totally the bomb.com. I heart her and today is her birthday! YAY!! I love birthdays and her so I had to take a minute to tell the whole world that it is her birthday. Love ya dear.
Now, for some Ten on Tuesday goodness:
1. What’s the one thing you always do when you’re stressed?
cry. freak out. eat lots of chocolate.
2. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever done for a friend?
hmmm....I can't think of anything "weird" right now.
3. What cleaning supply could you not live without?
Clorox Wipes. LOVE THEM.
4. How long do you plan on living where you currently reside?
well. at least until my contract ends in July. I could move earlier, or I could stay longer. I really don't know right now.
5. Do you usually vote straight party, a mixture, or not at all?
mostly straight party, but sometimes it's a mixture.
6. What’s something that you love to do, but seem to never make time for?
bake. i never have time to bake right now.
7. What’s your favorite store to buy things for other people?
Amazon.com. It has anything for everybody.
8. What’s the weather like around you today?
sunny. gorgeous. basically perfect - except for the fact that I'm inside at my desk staring at a computer.
9. What’s the worst book you’ve ever bought and read?
hmmm. Breaking Dawn. easily.
10. What’s the closest thing to you that is yellow?
the yellow sticky notes on my desk with notes from phone calls and such. I have so many sticky notes....(not all of them yellow though)

Tuesday Ten
note from the editor: This was SUPPOSED to post on Tuesday. It really was. I had EVERY intention of it going through. I'm not sure what happened. Sorry y'all. So I guess it can be...Ten on Thursday! :o)
You guys. I fail at trying to sleep. I was in bed just afte 10:30p (with the lights off around 10:45) and then it took me AT LEAST an hour to fall asleep. It was the worst thing ever and I thought I was going to die when the alarm clock went off this morning. Never mind that I had odd dreams about the ballet studio I teach for and what not. Sigh. Today has been semi-long and I am definitely looking forward to the toddler birthday party that is tonight. Little kids are just SO MUCH FUN!
Anyways. It's time for Ten on Tuesday. you know the drill.
1. What is your current favorite television show?
Well. My favorite shows are not on right now because it is summertime. I LOVE the cake shows on TLC and the food network though. They are fun to watch. However, they always make me want cake. Mmm...Cake.
2. Apple juice or orange juice?
OJ. I love a tall glass of OJ in the mornings. Wakes me right up. I won't say no to Apple Juice though. It's yummy too.
3. It’s Shark Week on Discover Channel. Do you watch? Why or why not?
negatory. I do not need to scare myself silly with shark shows.
4. What are the non-blog websites that you visit regularly?
Facebook, Twitter, Woot, and...the comics.
5. What is your favorite way to prepare green beans? Asparagus? Potatoes? Carrots?
I love steamed green beans. Asparagus is amazing grilled. I have a killer mashed potoato recipe that I enjoy but I love potatoes regardless of how you cook them and carrots....carrots are good no matter what you do to them.
6. What is your favorite flower?
I love fresh flowers, but my absolute favorite is a Gerbera Daisy. SO PRETTY!
7. How do you feel about handkerchiefs?
Well. I don't use them. At all. I have one or two? maybe? but I really am "meh" on the whole issue
8. If you could only shop at 3 stores for the rest of your life, what would they be? (You probably should include a grocery store.)
hmmm. This is a toughie. I'm going to go with my favorite local grocery store: Macey's, DownEast for their super cute clothes and Target for everything else I need because they are nicer than Walmart.
9. If you could only use wine for one purpose for the rest of your life, which would you choose? To cook with or to drink?
hmm. I have never had a glass of wine. I guess cooking. I used it once in a recipe and it was good, but i have no other purpose for it in my life. so that's easy.
10. What’s your bedtime?
Well. I TRY to start getting ready for bed around 10p (change into pj's, read scriptures and whatever fiction novel i am reading and brush my teeth, etc.) and lights are out usually by 10:30p. This is pushing my ability to wake up at 6 am for work...but i can do it. Most days. My body has been rebelling as of late though and hates sleeping. Stupid body.

Mondays are full of hangovers
I did get sleep this weekend. But I definitely feel the wake of being up late basically every night from Thursday to Saturday. Basically I feel hungover. Not that I know how it really feels, but I'm going to pretend.
Yesterday I went to bed early, but then I just couldn't fall asleep. It was so sad. So I'm feeling slightly tired. (why is it I never sleep well on Sunday nights? ugh.)
This week should be full of fun though. I have a birthday party, a hair appointment, a nail appointment, and one last weekend before I see my family! I leave one week from today to fly to Virginia for a little vacay with my family! I am so excited! We're going to go shopping, visit some sites in DC, see Inception, play at the water park, take family pictures and just have SO MUCH FUN!!!
So yeah. Definitely looking forward to the next week being OVER. I am so done with it. I am also done with August. August is a blechy month. Seriously, whoever invented August should be shot. September is just so much better. Can we have two Septembers this year? Please?

A case of the Mondays
Well friends, it's been a few days, yes? It's Monday and I'm definitely feeling it after my 3-day weekend. I apologize for not doing the fun Friday Fill-in-ness...but I didn't get online at all from Thursday evening-Saturday morning. So, it just didn't happen! I was too busy changing the furniture around in my bedroom, vacuuming, doing laundry, visiting my old stomping grounds, swimming w/SwingKid, partying all night at a sleepover, and soaking in as much sun as possible. That's what happens when your new work schedule now gives you a 3-day weekend every other weekend. Ha.
Basically...my weekend was AWESOME. It was relaxing and yet I got just enough done to feel productive. I'm already looking forward to my NEXT long weekend...in about 2 weeks. sigh. In the meantime, I'm getting into the groove at work and imagining myself here:

Armchair BEA, Ten on Tuesday and a sad story
okay, let's start at the beginning shall we? Today kicks off the beginning of BEA in NY. My friend Angie over at Angieville is currently walking the halls and meeting awesome people. I couldn't attend BEA for realsies, so instead I'm participating in Armchair BEA. What is Armchair BEA you ask? Well, go HERE for a great little explanation. I have a few posts lined up for this event and I hope to attend the Twitter party for a little bit! Make sure to visit me tomorrow when I interview Florinda over at The 3 R's Blog. It's going to be a fun little event and I'm excited to be a participant this year.
Let's skip Ten on Tuesday for a minute - you'll find that meme below the sad story.
SAD STORY:
I burned my hand on my curling iron this morning. It hurts. It's not just a little burn, it's about the size of a nickel and it HURTS. I've run it under cold water, put aloe vera on it, put ice on it and it still hurts. sad right? I know.
Okay, so the sad story wasn't that long. don't sue me k?

TEN ON TUESDAY! by Chelsea at Roots and Rings
1. What is your favourite piece of furniture in your house?
hmmm. I am in love with my bed. I upgraded to a Queen size bed after graduation and I am in major love.
2. If it was raining so hard on a Saturday that you couldn’t leave your house, what would you spend the day doing?
Oh I could easily spend the whole day reading curled up in my blanket, but if that day was today I would probably spend it cleaning, cooking and getting things ready for my vacation this weekend.
3. What was your favourite candy as a child?
oh I LOVED going to the little burger joint up the street and purchasing penny candy. An assortment of sour patch kids, swedish fish (in just red and multi-colors!) and those watermelons and stuff. Oh yeah. so yummy.
4. Did you get an allowance? What was it based on? What did you do with it?
Nope. No allowance. I did have a paper route at age 10 and that's how I earned my money to pay for my pointe shoes.
5. Do you have a favourite Etsy store?
Not really, but my mom has one so I guess that's my favorite!!
6. Do you prefer time with family or time with friends?
I love time with both of them.
7. Looney Tunes, Tiny Toons, or Animaniacs?
Looney Tunes. That's the good stuff.
8. Best daytime talk show: Oprah, Ellen, The Doctors, Tyra (ha!), Dr. Oz, or Dr. Phil?
Since I work all day, I really don't watch daytime anything. However, when I've been home sick or on vacation, I love Ellen
.
9. Would you rather have the power of invisibility or the ability to fly?
Oh this one is hard. There are pros and cons to both, but I'd have to go with the ability to fly. That just sounds awesome.
10. Name 1 thing you love about being an adult.
I love that I get to choose my meal plans and what I do from day to day. No one tells me what to do.
