A little Thursday by my side...

guys. It's Thursday. It has been a long, long (emotional) week and I'm glad to say the weekend is almost within reach. I unfortunately work tomorrow, but that will lead to a long weekend, short work week and another long weekend, so I think I can handle it....ANYWAYS. let's get on with things shall we?

• Last night I got together with my besties from my time in AIDA for a little frozen yogurt goodness. Man, I LOVE those girls SO MUCH! they are just super awesome. I always enjoy talking with them. :o)

• I went to a State Liquor store last night with my Sister B and bought vodka.

• Yes, I bought vodka.

• No, I didn't drink it.

• INSTEAD! I made vanilla extract by slicing and scraping Madagascar Vanilla Beans. It was a fun adventure. :o)

• Also, I just like saying the word vodka. It's fun.

• Soldier Boy, his daughter and I are all going to the Brigham City Temple open house tomorrow evening. I am VERY excited about this.

• As mentioned above I have a 3-day weekend (YAY Labor Day!), followed by a 3-day work week and ending with another 3-day weekend. HAPPY DAY. Seriously, SO HAPPY.

• My mind is still trying to get settled and realize that I'm no longer moving....it's kind of a weird feeling.

• Also, I need to go to the temple, it's been far too long, that will happen next Friday - on my day off. FOR SURE. :o)

• I am making a meal plan for next month so I can do more bulk shopping at Costco. Any meal suggestions you want to leave are VERY welcome. :o)

• In other news....August ends tomorrow and I'm having a really hard time accepting the fact that summer is practically over. :(

Thursday Things

okay. work is nuts, and i only have a few minutes. so without further ado....

THURSDAY THINGS!!! (dun dun duuuuun)

• Soldier Boy is in Disneyland. I'm missing him something fierce this week. :(
• This week is my Friday off and I have THE best plans ever!!
• I'm getting a massage tomorrow
• I'm going to Tucano's with Sister B and her husband tomorrow
• I'm having a Disney Movie Marathon on Saturday
• I'm going to the Temple this weekend
• I'm going to get LOTS of sleep
• I'm going to fix my ADORABLE dress that I'm wearing to LA (and most likely the ballet next weekend)

Pretty much...life is great minus the fact that a certain someone is not HERE right now....sigh. Hope you have a great weekend!

Thursday Things

Hi guys. things are crazy. When are they not crazy right? but really....this time of year is always nuts-o in the office and this year is NO exception. I have just a few thoughts that I want to share with y'all today.

• I went to the temple last night with members of my ward. It was so wonderful to be there with my friends. I love going to the temple and last night was no exception. I had a wonderful expereince and can't wait to repeat it sometime in the near future.

• Tonight Monkey Man is taking me salsa dancing. :o) 

• I'm nervous and I think I know why. See...the last time a significant other took me dancing it was SwingKid and it was @ Blue Tango - a venue we frequented often when we were dating and a place I still frequent. (In fact, I'm ditching Blue Tango tonight for salsa dancing.) And I'm just nervous about dancing with Monkey Man. I'm sure he's a fabulous dancer...but it's still a little nerve wracking. I'm sure it will be fine, but for now I'm nervous.

• I leave for VA in 13 days. I have WAY too much to do between now and then. I have no idea how I'm going to get everything done in the next 13 days. GAH!

• Have I mentioned that work is insane? Yeah. INSANE.

I am pretty sure there are more things that I was going to share with you. Unfortunately, my brain is not working very well these days. I think it has something to do with a) the insanity at work and b) being twitterpated. ;) Hope you all have a great evening. I'm pretty sure I'll be back tomorrow. ;)

Today has been....

officially declared "stupid people day." At least, at my place of work it has been. Today has been ridiculous when it comes to stupid people and their stupid requests.

ANYWHO. The good news is that today is THURSDAY and I just love Thursdays. (I think I say that every week, but it's so very true that I'm okay with saying it every week. :o) )

onward and upward!

• Not only is today THURSDAY, it's my FRIDAY. My weekend starts as soon as my company class is over tonight - 8pm. I can do this!

• I am sleeping in tomorrow. My Friday schedule is a little different than past Fridays and that includes sleeping and sleeping until  I can't sleep no more. Or 9:30 am. Whichever comes first. ;) 

• I'm going to the temple with a dear former roommate (Roommate LZ) on Saturday morning. I'm so excited to spend time with her in the best place ever!

• I haven't been serious grocery shopping in WEEKS. That is being rectified tomorrow. I even have a meal plan for several crock pot meals to make this next week. I'm excited. I hope they turn out...

• I have a post in the works about my gym trainer. He's a rock star (literally) and I can't wait to tell you all about him.

• Speaking of the gym...I'm going tomorrow AND Saturday. I'm just that cool.

• I also get to practice being a mime on Saturday for a show in April. Again...I'm just that cool.

• Monkey Man is adorable and I'm quickly falling head over heels for him...and yet I'm very calm about it. (most of the time) It's a very interesting ride and I couldn't be happier. 

• I love Greek yogurt. ESPECIALLY Greek yogurt by Yoplait. mmmm....yummy.

• Thanksgiving is only 3 weeks away! WOO HOO! I love holidays.

• the pile of sticky notes that have been used this week is ASTOUNDING. It has been so super busy this week. ai yi yi

• I played volleyball last night and at one point I chest bumped the volleyball. It was AWESOME.

• There was A LOT of laughter at volleyball last night. SO MUCH FUN. I loved it.

• Sometimes being a Relief Society President is hard. I do love it, but it's HARD.

• I have some fitness goals to share with you...but they're not completely finalized yet (which is bad of me...but deal with it.) I'll probably share them in the near future. Get ready for THAT awesomeness.

• I just realized the year is drawing to a close and I'm noticing how many things have helped me flourish this year. I need to start brainstorming a word for the year for 2012. 2012 is going to be good....I can feel it.

I feel like I'm forgetting something...but this has been a very long Thursday Things already, so I think I'll be done. For now. Until next time my dears, STAY HAPPY!!

My Favorite Kind of Thursday

• Today is my favorite kind of Thursday: the kind where I don't have to work tomorrow. AKA it's my FRIDAY!!!! 

• HUZZAH!!!!

• Can you tell I'm really excited about having the day off tomorrow?

• I have a very long list of things to do in the next three days, but I'm so excited!

• Not one of those things has anything to do with any boy....but I'm okay with that!

• Are you ready?

• I'm going to the temple, the gym, and Color Me Mine.

• I also am going to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables, rehearse 2 ballet companies and watch BYU Football.

• I'm going to clean my room, the bathroom and organize my kitchen.

• I'm also going to do some dinner prep, make cookies, and eat something from a crockpot.

• Tonight I'm going to teach ballet, go dancing, and flirt with cute boys.

• I plan on sleeping in tomorrow morning, eating some good food, and enjoying some "me" time.

• I REALLY hope I can get my to-do list done. I have high hopes and a time schedule for said list. Hopefully it works out a-okay. ;)

• I went to the dentist yesterday. Hate the dentist. I have cavities. grrr. This means I have to go back. sigh. One of these days I'll actually make it through a 6-month check-up without having to go back again for another 6-months. 

• Yesterday was my half-birthday. Nothing of note happened.

• I want cupcakes.

Day 12

I just love my days off. So far today I have: slept in, gone to the gym, and watched Project Runway. Which, if you didn't see, my sweet friend who was booted off in week 2 is back again! This made my heart SO SO SO happy. :o)

Also - the gym? It was hard. Day 2 always is, but I rocked it out and finished strong. Week 4 day 2 was the same workout as Day 1, so my results are basically the same.:

As far as the 21 Day challenge goes, today's Day 12 challenge is to jazz up the jeans. I love jeans. I really do. I wear them all the time. :o) So...here's my outfit!

Tender Mercy Tuesday - 34th Edition

Hello dearest internet friends. Here we are, another

I just love Tuesdays. Sometimes. Tonight is our first night performing at BYU in the de Jong concert hall. I am SUPER stoked to get to perform in this venue. We were on stage last night for just a short while and it definitely felt different.

My tender mercy this week has been the fact that last week was temple week. Temple week was the most marvelous thing for me and I spent time both at the temple, in the temple, and at home studying. Having my focus being on the temple last week was wonderful. I got to spend time with several of my friends at the temple both outside just sitting on the grounds and then in the temple doing work for our ancestors. Such a wodnerful week. I hope to have more weeks like that in my future. It will be great times.

In other news, today is Day 2 of the 21 Day Challenge. I'm sorry if you get sick about hearing about this and you don't come here for fashion. BUT I'm trying to do the whole challenge and one way I'm keeping myself honest about it is by blogging about it. Don't hate okay? :o)

Anywho, today's challenge is to tuck it in. I'll be honest. I hardly ever tuck a shirt in. I just don't like to do it. 90% of my shirts are tunics/blouses that I just wear untucked. (because I think they look best that way) I struggled trying to pick a shirt that I thought would look good tucked in and finally picked the following outfit:

So yeah, this shirt is a half-sleeved snap (i love snaps!) up shirt that is super cute and tailored and I have never worn it tucked in...until today. The great thing about this is that I wore a belt - which I don't do often because you'd actually be able to see it! I through on some flip flops with this outfit...also, pretend I made my bed this morning okay? And there we go! I think Day 2 has been a success and now I know I can tuck a shirt in and I won't die! :o)

THURSDAY!!!!!

oh my goodness gracious. It is an insane Thursday around these parts. I just might go crazy by the end of the day. Don't believe me? Ask the dishes! (name that movie! ;) )

Anyways, there are some random things I want to make sure to mention, so let's get this week's edition of Thursday Things going!!

• first off, Kayla from Freckles in April is sponsoring this 21 Day Challenge.  BASICALLY what is going down is Kayla is going to post outfit prompts and inspiration to help us all look more put together and such. I LOVE this idea. I browse Pinterest all the time and find great outfit ideas, but then I can never figure out how to make my own closet work for me. I'm hoping this 21 day challenge will help me out. ALSO she's been working with some AMAZING companies and will have several prizes for participants. So, you should get on the band wagon yo, or not and let me have more of a chance of wining! ;)

•  Next up is a reminder that the next three days are our last performances of AIDA at the SCERA Shell. :o) This show is incredible and you definitely need to come and see it. Just a reminder, we will be performing at BYU Education next week, so if for some reason you've already got weekend plans...just come next week! woot!

• Let's see....what else? Oh yeah! I have plans this weekend! I am so excited about said plans. I have a temple trip tomorrow with people from my ward, a lunch date, and then some of my FAVORITE people are coming to the show tomorrow night and we're going out afterwards. I am really excited about that!

• I didn't have a show last night, but that didn't mean I wasn't busy! I did, however, get to bed earlier than what has been "normal" and I loved getting an extra hour or so of sleep. 

• Auditions for my ballet company are on Monday and I'm really excited to see the talent that will be coming into my company for this next year. :o) Huzzah!

• What else is happening that I wanted to tell you about..................oh yeah! I've been thinking really hard about hair ideas for my next appointment. I've loved my hair for the past little while but I'm just....bored with it. So I think I'm going to go for something like these pictures:

•  Today it was a person's birthday at work and his family brought him an awesome birthday package that included pop rocks for him to share with the company. I haven't had pop rocks in AGES. They are SO FUN!!!

A Full Weekend of Everything

I think the only thing I DIDN'T do this weekend was go on a date. HA! I feel like I did everything else under the sun. Saturday felt productive even though I didn't do a ton of things. Nights two and three of Aida went so well. Each audience has just improved upon the one the night before. I am looking forward to this week of performances. Part of me will be sad when it is over, but at the same time I'll be glad to have my evenings back - sort of. See, ballet classes start next week while we're performing at BYU Education week. :o) So basically I go from performing every evening to teaching. However, I love teaching and I'm looking forward to doing that again.

What else happened - oh I had my first Sunday as Relief Society president. That was scary and a little overwhelming. There is so much to do all the time, I have to tell myself to take breaks or else I'll overdue myself and that's not a good thing.

This week our stake is having a Stake Temple Week. This is where we focus on all aspects of temple work. I am VERY excited about this! Temple week is always full of great things and happenings. I've planned a temple trip and breakfast with several of my ward friends and I am excited to go to the temple with them. It will be good times.

hmmmm...what else should I tell you about my weekend...I think that's it. Basically. All I do right now is perform Aida, work my day job and do my best to fulfill my calling. C'est la vie!

Tender Mercy Tuesday - 30th Edition

Let's take just moment and notice that this is the 30th edition of Tender Mercy Tuesday! 30 weeks my friends! Isn't that crazy?! I can't believe it has been that long.

Anywho, moving on. :)

So today, I was planning on working through my lunch, getting off at 3:30pm and then going to the temple, running home having JUST enough time to change and get my butt over to rehearsal. I hate working through lunch. But, at least I remembered to pack my lunch and such.

well, today's my coworker's birthday and her request was that we all go to lunch together and it's been SO LONG since we've done a department lunch that my boss is taking all of us to lunch today. AND i don't have to worry about counting it as my lunch hour according to my boss. :) SUCH a tender mercy. I get better food, still get to leave early AND get a break from the grind that i was worried would kill me.

PLUS I get to go to the temple today and I can already tell that it's going to be a good thing. :o)

I feel so blessed. so, so, so, blessed. Life is good.

Fridayness

I am so happy it is Friday! The weekend is here again! I'm excited for the few plans I have this weekend, but first I must catch you up on my life. I really have been super busy, but no worries! I am taking the time now to blog about my life. I love life. It has been so great to me as of late. I've been thinking on how I want to do this - either by day or by subject matter, and I think we'll go with by day. Seems like a great way to go, in my opinion.

Friday, July 1st

I didn't have to work this day. I was so super happy about this! A four-day weekend just for me! (well, and half of my company...) Regardless, I was excited to have an extra day off. I started the day off by having lunch with my best friend from high school, her husband and her husband's best friend from high school. It was good times. They had really wanted me to meet this friend - to see if anything clicked. He seemed like a great guy, but not much clicked. It was all good though - I got to eat lunch with really fun people at the Pizza Pie Cafe so I was a happy camper.

After that I went to the Draper Utah Temple and then came home to eat some dinner before going to rehearsal. Rehearsal was good that night and I realized that I have to memorize the words to the songs I'm singing. I sort of forgot about that. I'm happy to report that since then I have memorized 1.5 of my 3 songs. GO me!

After rehearsal I went over to Grizzly Bear's house and watched The Adjustment Bureau.  I liked this movie a lot. I always love movies with dancers in them - the people who danced in this film were phenomenal. I loved watching it even if it was just for a brief moment. I enjoy hanging out with Grizzly Bear. We cuddled a little bit, but that was it. Since then we haven't really texted or anything. I think he's lost interest. I don't really know that for sure, but that's my guess.

Saturday, July 2nd

The only plans I had for this day were that of going to the Stadium of Fire with Percy.  I slept in that morning and then ran some errands and stuff. I also cleaned my room. I love having a clean room. Makes me happy.  I curled my hair super cute and Percy met me at my apartment just before 6 pm. We drove down to Cougartown and picked up a pizza at Papa John's. We then went to campus (where I found THE BEST PLACE to park in the whole wide world! Seriously! NOBODY parked there!) were we had a picnic dinner. Percy is a great conversationalist and I really enjoy sitting and talking with him. It's fun times. After our picnic, and after we had taken the picnic stuff back to my car we walked over to LaVell Edwards Stadium. We played a game of people watching (which I totally won. I think.) and then went into the stadium. We didn't have AMAZING seats, but they weren't horrid either.

The Stadium of Fire was AMAZING. I loved being able to see my friend The Whits perform (even though they didn't win) and David Archuleta was cute as always. My favorite performance of the night? Brad Paisley. Hands down! Not only does that man sing well, and is attractive as all get out - but he performs a great concert! He was fun to see and it was a really fun show. The fireworks that followed were incredible and I loved seeing them from inside the stadium. It had been 15 years since I last saw the fireworks from inside the stadium and I was much impressed. Percy put his arm around me and we sat there enjoying the awesome display.

We ended up going to Walmart together to pick up some things for our individual Sunday dinners and we just continued to have a blast together. He asked me if we could go out again and I agreed. A date hasn't been set because with my rehearsal schedule and his busy life we haven't been able to find a time that works. I'm sure that we'll make it work sometime very soon.

Sunday, July 3rd

This day was uneventful. Had dinner with Truit and her husband. Played games with friends. Went to church. Not necessarily in that order. ;)

Monday, July 4th

Happy Independence Day! I started off celebrating the day by sleeping in, cleaning my kitchen, and making some yummy food. Then Sister B, her husband, and I all went to Seven Peaks. We had a blast spending the afternoon playing in the water and riding awesome slides. After our adventures there we went back to their apartment and BBQ'd yummy food on their new grill and played Yahtzee. Such fun times!

So there you go. I had an amazing holiday weekend and I'm looking forward to some fun times this weekend as well. I have rehearsal tonight and then I plan on going to bed ridiculously early since I've been up way too late the past three nights. Tomorrow I'm going to pick up my Bountiful Basket, visit my sister and go to rehearsal. I don't have any solid plans for tomorrow evening yet, but if all else fails I plan on breaking in my brand new sewing machine by either making an apron or some new throw pillows for the living room. :o) I live a crazy life, I know. ;)

Tender Mercy Tuesday - 26th edition

Today I am so eternally grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love the gospel so much! I really feel super blessed to have this light in my life and to hae it be a guiding influence for me each and every day.

As many of you know, my little sister got married last week. As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we believe that couples who are married in temples are sealed together not only for life, but for eternity. Only those who are worthy to enter the temple can witness the ceremony in a special room in the temple.

My sister and brother-in-law were married in a room just like the one above. I had the very special opportunity to be at my sister's sealing ceremony. It was a special experience - one that I won't forget anytime soon. I am so happy for my sister and her now husband. They definitely are going to be very happy for a very long time.

That is my tender mercy today. The blessing of the gospel in my life and being able to witness that special moment between my sister and her husband is definitely something to be grateful for today.

Tender Mercy Tuesday - 25th Edition

Today is the best Tuesday. Today I am in the temple with my little sister, her fiance and my parents. What a happy and glorious time! I love going to the temple and this opportunity to be in the temple with 2/3rds of my family is a great blessing. I can't wait for the day when my whole family gets to be in the temple together. What a great and glorious day that will be!!

I'm pretty sure it has been raining non-stop since Tuesday.

Okay, maybe not non-stop - but it has been raining more than normal! We have so much water everywhere and the ground is sopping wet! The road by my house just has sheets of water rolling down hill. It's crazy-sauce. To top it all off I'm not sure there is an end in sight to all this rain. KSL Weather claims in the forecast that it should clear out this weekend - but it won't be anything like last weekend. sigh. I was so hoping for sunshine this weekend.

The good thing with all the rain? It makes everything SUPER green. I do love me the color green.

anywho...moving on to...

I love that it is Thursday. On Tuesday I felt like the week was NEVER going to end. I have tomorrow off, and even though it's probably still going to raining, I'm very excited to not have to come in to work. :-)

• I bought one of THESE yesterday from eBay. I am SO excited for it to come in the mail! It will be like Christmas! Or my Birthday! But Not!

• There are exactly 4 weeks until my sisters wedding. eek!! 

• The centerpieces are only partially done. I'm hoping to work on them more this weekend.

• Especially because the wax got here yesterday.

• I got my bangs trimmed yesterday. 

• Good thing too, they were so long and I really couldn't see because they'd get in the way!

• I'm going to the temple tomorrow with my best friend from high school. I'm stoked.

• I have a camping trip planned for the end of July. I am VERY excited for that.

• The end-year recital is in 4 weeks and two days. Yes. the same week as the wedding. It will be an INSANE week. :P

• Because of memorial day I have three 3-day weekends in a row. This is a very good thing.

• Leviticus randomly showed up last night. I was watching Megamind at the time and he stuck around to finish watching the movie with me. 

• I'm going dancing tonight and I am SO EXCITED.

• I am trying this recipe for dinner tonight and I am VERY MUCH looking forward to it.

 I feel like there is something I am forgetting to tell you...but alas nothing is coming to mind. Have a most splendid Thursday y'all! LOVES

once upon a Thursday

Good morning my dear internet friends! I hope you're having a lovely day. So far mine has been just splendid. I have just this work day + a one hour ballet class and it will be my weekend. Hurrah!! It's supposed to be a gorgeous weekend and THANK GOODNESS. I haven't had a beautiful weekend (weather wise) in SO LONG. I plan on spending lots of time outside and in the sunshine. :o)

Anyways...it's time for some Thursday things!! dun de de de dun!!!

• I went to the SLC Temple with HiccupMel last night. It was such a fabulous time. I love going to the temple. Going with a friend was the most marvelous thing.

• Speaking of HiccupMel, today is her Birthday!!! Make sure to visit her and wish her a happy birthday.  I will be forever grateful to Chillygator for introducing me to HiccupMel. I'd be without a very good friend if it wasn't for Chillygator. HAPPY BIRTHDAY HiccupMel!

• I'm getting my car washed this weekend and vacuumed. It needs it so desperately. 

• It's pay day.

• I love pay day.

• I'm going to Blue Tango tonight. I'm rather excited. I love Blue Tango.

• There are 6 weeks FROM TODAY until Sister B's wedding. There is so much to do and I might die between now and then. 

• I don't want to die.

• I still need shoes.

• Hiccupmel suggested I look for nude colored shoes instead of white ones to match my outfit. I think she might be a genius.

• Work has been crazy this week. My brain has been used SO MUCH. I'm ready to have a day off and not have to think too hard.

• I need to go grocery shopping.

• Today is Cinco de Mayo. Celebrate!

• I wore my brand new hot pink peep-toe heels yesterday. I feel so sexy wearing them that I wish I could handle wearing them all the time. They are just that AWESOME.

• Speaking of awesome, I apparantly really like that word because in my post yesterday I managed to say "It was awesome" no less than 6 times. Man, I think I need a thesaurus. ha! 

• We now have a disco ball hanging in my office. This makes me all sorts of giddy.

• Did I mention that tomorrow is my day off? Because it is, and I am very much excited for it.

once there was a snowman....

Even though it hasn't started snowing...yet...I am still singing this little song from my childhood. Sigh. I am very much ready for spring. Although I know I shouldn't be surprised by the snow. I find it funny how many of my friends on Facebook claim that all the snow we've had in late March/early April is soooo unusual and that it must be the Apocolypse or something because OH MY GOSH it's SNOWING. Hate to break it to ya guys, but snow in late March/early April is VERY normal. It snowed 8 inches a week before my college graduation in April of 2009. It HAPPENS. ALL THE TIME.

ANYWHO. Let's get on with the more exciting things okay?

• so first off, work has been insanely busy this week. Seriously. I am haivng a hard time believeing that it is already Thursday! Oh how time has flied!

• My copy of Tangled finally arrived the other day. I'm pretty sure Roommate A and I are going to watch it tonight.

• I am going to a concert/dance party tonight. I'm rather excited to attend!

• I've won 2 free books this week! TWO! one from Emily and the other from Goodreads. I can hardly believe my good luck

• My mom gave me a grow your own grass kit for my birthday. I planted the grass on Saturday afternoon and it has already started to sprout! yay! I love grass!

• I know really awesome people. This makes me happy.

• I had THE best dream last night. I dreamed that I was with a boy (not sure who) and the next thing I know he has tenderly taken his hands and put them on my face (sort of like this [also, doesn't that picture just make you swoon? I just love me some Richard Armitage) and kisses me. It was the best kiss ever. I only wish I knew who it was kissing me. I want to find them and try it in real life.

• I am such a girl.

• I am okay with the above statement.

• Tomorrow is my day off. I love days off. I have a few fun things planned tomorrow including sleeping in, going to this temple and taking a ballet class.

• I have 3 dates planned in the next 10 days. A fourth one is in the works. 

• Can I just tell you how happy it makes me that I have so many dates planned? I am not going to lie, I am loving dating right now.

• I definitely feel blessed. In so many ways am I grateful to be living in such a time as this.

BUSY Thursday things!

Well, as all hell starts to break loose all around me (things are INSANE at work right now!) I have just a few things on my mind:

• Spring Cleaning. I am so excited to do this. I am hoping I don't get burned out, because I REALLY REALLY want a clean house after Saturday. 

• Work is crazy busy. The phones won't stop ringing. I have to work tomorrow. I don't want to work tomorrow.

• Why don't I want to work tomorrow? Well, the weather is supposed to be the NICEST so far this year tomorrow. I want to play outside all day. :(

• I am going to the temple tomorrow night. Want to join me?

• I am really excited about General Conference. It is going to be awesome!

• Also awesome? The birthday present my roommate got me. We are going to break it in Sunday night during Chopped! All-Stars. :o) woo hoo!

• I am getting excited for summer. I can't wait for nice evenings.

• I had a date last night with a guy I met online. He will remain nameless until I decide on a name for him...or something. It was fun, but the jury is still out on how I feel.

• My poor roommate has to work ALL weekend - including Sunday afternoon. I am going to be all alone. Anyone want to come watch conference with me??

I think that's it for now...there's lots going on around here, and I'm okay with that. :o)

Tender Mercy Tuesday - 16th Edition

Well here we are my dear internet friends. Another Tuesday. This past week has been chock-full of crazy, happiness and of course, my surprises.

The 3rd and final surprise was a bridal shower for my little sister. It was a fun, simple party that was enjoyed by all.

Also, it was GREAT fun to have my Mom here. I think that is one of my favorite tender mercies from the past week - seeing my mom! Getting to spend time with her and do fun things was so wonderful. I had 2.5 days off of work and it was nice to have a little mini-vacay even if I didn't go anywhere. I'll get another one of those in the June when I have both my sister's wedding AND the big, huge June recital happening. :o) It will be fun times.

Anyways, I have one other Tender Mercy that I want to share. It relates to my post from Friday. I got to go the temple on Friday and do my own temple work. It was an amazing experience receiving the blessings and making covenants associated with the endowment. I will always remember that day. My best friend, Truit, and her husband came and then my mom was there. I am excited to go again and again doing the temple work for my and others' ancestors. All in all, I have been astounded by the amount of love I have felt in the past several days. My eyes have been opened in so many ways and I know that I made the right choice in going when I did. :o) I am happy.

Now I am just getting ready for the 181st Annual General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is going to be a good one, I can feel it. Not that there has ever been a bad one, but I know that this one is going to be just full of awesome. Hopefully spring will start coming, it's supposed to be REALLY nice on Friday but then snow on Saturday/Sunday. :o)
