It's official!

so....you might have noticed (if we're friends) on Facebook and Twitter....but last night I got engaged to Soldier Boy!

That's right! It's officially official! I'm getting MARRIED!!!! I am so excited and stoked to get to marry my best friend. Last night was AMAZING.

It all started shortly after we both got home from work, Soldier Boy suggested that we go to the Blue Iguana. This restaurant holds a lot of memories for us as it is one of the places we went near the very beginning of our relationship (before we were officially dating, in fact). The food was delicious as always.

After dinner Solider Boy suggested that we go to the Gallivan Center Outdoor Ice Skating Rink. This was something we had seen as an idea to do this weekend, and I was so excited to get to do that with him. :o)

At one point I gave Soldier Boy a really hard time about not having a ring yet...and he teased me by suggesting that it would happen up in his hometown because he knows the area better over there. Not five minutes later we were on the ice again "dancing" in the middle and he looked at me, told me he loved me and I said, "I love you too!" and he then said "really? well then...." and he got down on one knee pulled out my ring and asked me to marry him.

:) :) :) :) :)

I said yes and that folks, is how I got engaged to my best friend last night! I'm so excited to start the process of planning this wedding and start our life together. :)

my ring. this picture doesn't do it justice. It is gorgeous!!

Hi guys.

Hi friends.

I'm sorry I've been MIA. I haven't even gotten a Tender Mercy post up in a couple of weeks! GAH! I feel so bad...but I've been living my life and haven't had a ton of time to blog about it. I hope you follow me on twitter and stuff, because I do try to keep that updated. :o) Try being the operative word.

ANYWAYS....

I had a grand weekend, life is great and my future boyfriend is the best thing that has ever happened to me in the history of ever. Things are really good in that regard. In case you were wondering.

ALSO,

I leave for Disneyland in ... 7.5 hours. I'm rather excited about this trip of mine. I'm going with Surfer Boy (remember him? we're good friends still) the EQ Pres (yup, the RSP and the EQP are both going to be gone from church this weekend. good times!) and then another girl from my ward is coming. She's hilarious and I'm excited for our little road trip of awesomeness.

PLUS

I'm going to spend TWO DAYS in Disneyland this week. GAH. I am so excited I just can't stand it.

Don't miss me too much and I'll try to bring back loads of awesome stories and stuff about my trip. :o)

love you all!!

Tender Mercy Tuesday: 57th Edition

Hello dears. I hope you are doing splendidly and are enjoying "Fat Tuesday."

If you're not Catholic (like myself) then this day holds no extreme significance for you. I have, in the past, given up "things" for Lent. However, this year I am focusing not so much on giving things up, but getting things done. Occupying my life. Attempting to be patient until an unknown future date.

Life has been an interesting roller coaster ride as of late. I don't see it as being one of tons of ups and downs, but more of one with lots of twists and turns, new things around every bend. I have understood for a long time that God is omnipotent, but it still never ceases to amaze me how well he knows me and the ability he has to take me on a journey that is the best possible route for me.

Solider Boy told me a personal story last night that directly related to us and our future relationship that just confirmed to me how right this situation is for us right now. I've known it's right, but any outside evidence is always helpful to combating the feelings of doubt and fear that Satan tries to instill into my mind. I'm constantly reciting and remembering Doctrine and Covenants 6:36, "Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not." This scripture is pulling and pushing me through this unknown amount of time. How I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Basically, I want you to know that I KNOW that God is looking out for us no matter our situation or religious affiliation. We are all children of Him and He wants us to be a happy and joyful people. What a great thing to have - an omnipotent being rooting for us every step of the way. :o)

God bless.

p.s. If you happen to be LDS and have a favorite General Conference talk, I'd love for you to share it with me. I'm speaking in my congregation in a few weeks and have complete freedom in choosing my topic from a General Conference talk. However, I have no idea where to start - so please share your favorite talk of all time! Thanks!

I had bought some earrings w/Sister B last week - hoping that I could pull them off, and then I found out that today's challenge was statement jewelery...yeah they totally fit that category so, without  further ado, my outfit:

I'm such a girl

in case you didn't know that already. :o)

I was listening to songs on my iPod the other day while working away on stuff. I think I was at work, but I don't really remember at this moment. Anyways, it doesn't really matter because the point is that I was listening to some tunes and the song "Fearless" by Taylor Swift came on. I love me some Taylor Swift. You might hate me because I just said that, but I won't take it back. Her stuff is clean, fun to sing along with, and I can often relate to her lyrics.

Anyways, I was listening to "Fearless" and I realized how much I want to be that way - fearless. In everything I do, but mostly in relationships. I thought I was hunky dory all fine and dandy after SwingKid broke up with me, but I've recently realized that I am in no hurry to get into anything super serious. I want to have a boyfriend - but I want the timing to be right. AND I want him to instill certain feelings in my heart and soul. I want to feel like I can do anything when I am with him. I want to be...dare I say it? FEARLESS.

There's somethin' 'bout the way the street looks when it's just rained
There's a glow off the pavement, you walk me to the car
And you know I wanna ask you to dance right there
In the middle of the parking lot, yeah

We're drivin' down the road, I wonder if you know
I'm tryin' so hard not to get caught up now
But you're just so cool, run your hands through your hair
Absent-mindedly makin' me want you

And I don't know how it gets better than this
You take my hand and drag me headfirst, fearless
And I don't know why but with you I dance
In a storm in my best dress, fearless

So baby drive slow 'til we run out of road
In this one horse town, I wanna stay right here
In this passenger seat, you put your eyes on me
In this moment, now capture it, remember it

'Cause I don't know how it gets better than this
You take my hand and drag me headfirst, fearless
And I don't know why but with you I'd dance
In a storm in my best dress, fearless

Well, you stood there with me in the doorway
My hands shake, I'm not usually this way
But you pull me in and I'm a little more brave
It's the first kiss, it's flawless, really somethin'
It's fearless

'Cause I don't know how it gets better than this
You take my hand and drag me headfirst, fearless
And I don't know why but with you I'd dance
In a storm in my best dress, fearless

'Cause I don't know how it gets better than this
You take my hand and drag me headfirst, fearless
And I don't know why but with you I'd dance
In a storm in my best dress, fearless

So, basically, I'm just a girl who wants to feel breathless, excited, and fearless around the man of her dreams. Have I met the man of my dreams? I have no idea. It's quite possible I have. At the same time, he could still be out there, waiting for me. I'm in no rush to run off and get married. While I'd love for it to happen to me, I know that I am exactly where I need to be in my life. I'm not supposed to be married right now. I have other responsibilities and tasks that I must complete first. So for right now, I'm just going to keep on doing what I do, enjoying and LIVING my life the way I like to live it until the right man can get me to dance in the storm, in my best dress.

yeah, I'm a girl...and proud of it!

Thursday Things

  • First off, it's Thursday. I love Thursdays.
  • Yesterday I took a ballet class. I love taking class. I decided last night that I need to be more regular in taking classes - from anywhere really. I need to do my research and find classes that I can take with my schedule. Even it makes me extraordinarly busy.
  • I know I haven't posted about my weekend. The story is coming. I'll probably make it my Friday special or something. Sorry it has been so long in coming! I know you're waiting!
  • Blocking rehearsals are interesting. I loved watching our director and see the wheels turn in his brain as he decided who to have enter and where. Fascinating.
  • It reminds me of choreographing a dance. Only with this there are words and songs to take into account.
  • My sunburn is itching. sigh. (oh yeah...I got sunburned this weekend. You probably didn't know that because I haven't told you any stories. HA!)
  • I think I'm going dancing tonight even though I have to work tomorrow. Dancing makes me whole and I really like going there. So yeah...I'll probably be extra tired tomorrow. oh well.
  • I have no plans for my weekend currently. Minus rehearsals.
  • Rehearsals will take over my life starting Wednesday. EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. Although, with the show opening 4 weeks from today I'll probably be happy we're rehearsing so much. I'm just glad I'm not a lead. I probably couldn't handle having to memorize so quickly.
  • There are times like today when I wish I didn't work so that I could watch the Harry Potter Live Premiere video streaming.
  • I can't believe Harry Potter is ending. So crazy!
  • I still have my free massage I won from work that I have to use by the end of August. I need to make that appointment pronto.
I think that's it for now folks....stay tuned for holiday weekend update. :o) hugs!

Tender Mercy Tuesday - 27th edition

I remember when I first started this meme. I was blown away by all the major tender mercies being given to me. Today I don't feel like I've had anything earth shattering - or even minor for that matter. I do feel like I'm being blessed every day with love from all wakes of life. That in and of itself is a great tender mercy - to be feeling loved by those around me and by my Heavenly Father. I KNOW that he loves me.  Life isn't always sunshine and rainbows, but that's okay because some amazing things can happen in the middle of a storm.

I am loving life.  I am very busy with it these days, but that's how I roll - by being a busy bee!!!

What are your tender mercies today?

  • I am singing a solo in church in 10 days. I'm a tad nervous.
  • I changed my audition song for Aida....I'm a much happier person with the new audition song.
  • oh yeah, I'm auditioning for Aida. Yes, it's the same week as EVERYTHING else in my life, but I REALLY want to be in Aida!
  • I get to see my family in 4 days!! WOO HOO!!!

Tender Mercy Tuesday - 20th Edition

Hi Guys.

It's been a crazy few days. My weekend was amazing and I promise to tell you the stories...soon. However, work is taking over my life (lots of overtime) and I'm still working on the stories for you. Just get excited okay?

In the meantime, let me share my small tender mercy with you. This past week was crazy and intense and full of all sorts of emotions. However, I was once again blessed with a reaffirmation of my Heavenly Father's love for me. It's amazing how easy it is to forget that God DOES know what you're going through and He WANTS you to be happy. He sent some amazing people my way last week that just stopped to say hi, or sent me a text message or a note on Facebook. These people make me so happy and I am so grateful that there is something out there bigger than myself to help me get over the hard times.

Anyways, I hope you all are having a good week. Mine has been long already, but luckily I don't work on Friday. :o) Stay tuned for awesome stories in the very near future!

Thursday Things etc etc

Hey guys. It's Thursday. I've always loved Thursdays. If you've followed me for any length of time then you know this truth about me. Anyways, I'm full of thoughts today (especially ones on dating) so all comments will be welcome on today's post.
  • First off, one of my internet buddies, Gretchen, is hosting a giveaway. I have always wanted a Shabby Apple dress and I'm really hoping to own one someday.
  • I have been on a lot of dates recently. I am going on a lot of dates in the near future. I like dating.
  • This leads me to ask though - at what point do you draw the line with physical affection? Do you hold hands before being a couple? Cuddle? Kiss? I have some rules for the aforementioned items, but I'm wondering what all of you think.
  • I really am wondering because cuddling with The Australian is going very well and it seems that he likes me a lot and that there is a possibilty for more. I've toyed with the idea of kissing him, but it goes against my rule of kissing someone w/out a commitment factor being there...thougths?
  • Also, I want to go on a REAL date with The Australian. How do I make this happen?
  • I met the guy from this blog a week ago. I can't stop thinking about him (he made a really good first impression) and I really want to go on a date with him...but I'm not sure how to go about initiating that. Thoughts?
  • Next on my mind with dating I connected with this guy on Twitter who I think seems really cool and I'd like to get to know him more. suggestions? thoughts?
  • is it weird that I want to connect with so many people I meet through the internet?
  • Maybe it's not?
  • I really do enjoy where I am in the dating scene....liking so many boys is fun!
  • However, one boy told me the other day that he would be scared away by a forward girl. Is this true guys? Is being forward awkward? weird? Does it turn you off?
  • Does this mean I shouldn't do anything about the aforementioned boys?
  •  I really need your suggestions
  • Easter candy is my downfall right now.
  • My abs and glutes class is kicking my trash.
  • I'm wondering if I need to try to go to the gym early in the morning seeing as how I'm skipping the gym a lot of days to go on dates.
  • But dates are good right?
  • And waking up to get to the gym at like 5am? not sure that can ever happen realistically...
sigh. too many thoughts guys. too many thoughts.

Quarterly Review

Hello again my dear readers. I know I didn't mention that I was going to do this, in fact I just decided a few weeks ago that I should do this - but I am conducting my own personal Quarterly Review on my Word of the Year progress.

I hope you've noticed the ever present reminder of my word of the year to the right -----> I have programed that nifty little button to take you to any post that I have labeled as one where I am flourishing. I just took some time earlier this month to go through and see what I have done and remind myself of my goals.

I already know that there are changes to my goals. I didn't make it to Disneyland for my birthday - and I know I WANT to go, I'm just not sure when yet. Also, I'm thinking I won't be attending the Dance Teacher's Summit. I really want to, but with my sister getting married in June and all the time I'm taking off then, I'm not sure I'll want to take that much time off this summer. We'll see. I'm still keeping it as a possibility. for sure. :o)

I had the wonderful experience of attending the temple for the first time and doing my own temple work. I wrote about what I felt like I could share here.

In other news - I have found SO MUCH HAPPINESS within myself. I feel as if my heart has healed. I've been dating like crazy and taking risks right and left. I feel more whole than I have in a long time and for this I am so grateful.

Honest to goodness, life is GOOD right now. While there are certainly things that I wish I had in my life - I know that I am where I am supposed to be, doing what I am doing RIGHT NOW. This is THE BEST feeling a girl can have, in my opinion anyways.

Tender Mercy Tuesday - 16th Edition

Well here we are my dear internet friends. Another Tuesday. This past week has been chock-full of crazy, happiness and of course, my surprises.

The 3rd and final surprise was a bridal shower for my little sister. It was a fun, simple party that was enjoyed by all.

Also, it was GREAT fun to have my Mom here. I think that is one of my favorite tender mercies from the past week - seeing my mom! Getting to spend time with her and do fun things was so wonderful. I had 2.5 days off of work and it was nice to have a little mini-vacay even if I didn't go anywhere. I'll get another one of those in the June when I have both my sister's wedding AND the big, huge June recital happening. :o) It will be fun times.

Anyways, I have one other Tender Mercy that I want to share. It relates to my post from Friday. I got to go the temple on Friday and do my own temple work. It was an amazing experience receiving the blessings and making covenants associated with the endowment. I will always remember that day. My best friend, Truit, and her husband came and then my mom was there. I am excited to go again and again doing the temple work for my and others' ancestors. All in all, I have been astounded by the amount of love I have felt in the past several days. My eyes have been opened in so many ways and I know that I made the right choice in going when I did. :o) I am happy.

Now I am just getting ready for the 181st Annual General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is going to be a good one, I can feel it. Not that there has ever been a bad one, but I know that this one is going to be just full of awesome. Hopefully spring will start coming, it's supposed to be REALLY nice on Friday but then snow on Saturday/Sunday. :o)

M

I really like Roman Numerals. I remember learning about Roman Numerals in elementary school and I thought it to be such fun to figure out number was trying to be depicted. Anyways, the reason I mention this is because my title today is a Roman Numeral. Do you know which one?

M = 1,000.  Today is my 1,000th post. I can't believe I have posted that many times! I have been blogging for 6 years and when I started I never thought I would still be writing today. So today, today we are celebrating! YAY!
{source}
Ever since I noticed I was nearing this major milestone, I've tried to determine what I should do to celebrate. I love celebrations! I thought about doing a giveaway, but then I decided to not do that. So instead I'm going to share a few of my favorite quotes and quote pictures. These are all things that I have learned through my years of blogging and living life and I feel the urge to share my learned wisdom with you. So here's to another 1,000 posts. Cheers!

{source}

"We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love." - Source Unknown

"Women are like teabags; you never know how strong they are until they're put in hot water."
- Eleanor Roosevelt

"God is eagerly waiting for the chance to answer your prayers and fulfill your dreams, just as He always has. But He can’t if you don’t pray, and He can’t if you don’t dream. In short, He can’t if you don’t believe."
- Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

And now! I'd love to hear YOUR thoughts. What one quote has influenced your life most recently? What words of wisdom do you feel inclined to share today?

Happy Valentine's Day

{source}
Today, I want to express a whole bunch of feelings that I have in my heart. Even though I find myself without a Valentine this year, I have an overwhelming amount of love that I want to share. Many times I wish we were more like the Greeks and had the many different words that express different types of love. I think that part of the Greek language is beautiful. So many times I want to tell people that I love them, but it's not necessarily a romantic love but rather a brotherly/sisterly love or a friendship love. Love is so diverse and can be defined in so many ways.
{source}
I love that picture up above. Love is a VERB guys. Loving anyone takes action on your part. I don't think it really matters HOW you show your love, as long as you actually show it. Love requires action.

{source}
One thing I have realized in my years of dating and giving my parts of my heart to several different people is that you just have to take the risk. Sure, dating can break your heart. Loving someone is a huge risk, but the times that it works far outweigh any time where it doesn't. I don't regret any time that I've given my heart to someone.
{source}
So on today, of all days, I hope you'll never stop loving - anyone! Everyone needs a little bit of love. Thanks for being great internet friends y'all. I am so grateful for all the support and love I feel from everyone of you all the time. Have a wonderful Valentine's Day everyone. I love ya!!!

I just want to jump on a rooftop...

AND PROCLAIM MY HAPPINESS!!!!!!

Seriously, I am SO happy right now. Life is just oh so good and it makes my heart swell.  I haven't been this happy in so long  it blows my mind that I thought that everything was okay the way it was. Not to say that the way it was was BAD....but guys! LIFE IS AMAZING RIGHT NOW!!!

{source}
I really wish that a)I had a rooftop to yell from and b)it wasn't so cold outside so that I actually would yell things from the rooftop. How awesome would that be? (First image that pops into my head when I think of yelling  from the rooftops? The fiddler from Fiddler on the Roof at the opening of the show.)

ALSO before we get to Friday Fill-Ins I just want to tell you something awesome that happened last night. Before rehearsal (which went SO well) I was reading The Holy Temple by Boyd K. Packer.  I only read the first chapter last night, but the Spirit was so strong while I was reading and I KNEW that the words I was reading were true! I felt so good while reading and I know this book is exactly what I need in my life right now. I am loving it!

Anyways...now to less heavier things. FRIDAY FILL-INS!!! YAY!! :o)

And...here we go!

1. So many of us seem to float through life. Let me tell you, it is NOT WORTH IT. DO NOT FLOAT!

2. I believe it is possible to always be happy, even in hardship.

3. Those who are accepting of the light of Christ WILL BE HAPPY.

4. Somewhere the love of my life is waiting quietly.

5. Light is in both the moon and the stars.

6. Sometimes I forget of all that is ordinary.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to dinner and a movie with a friend, tomorrow my plans include class/rehearsal, cleaning my car and deep cleaning my house (oh man it needs it) and Sunday, I want to get all my visiting teaching done!

Thursday Things

Thank goodness it is finally Thursday. Even though I have to work tomorrow, I tend to love Thursdays. This week has been long and HARD. Yesterday was a good day and today should prove to be an even better day. I have a yummy pizza lunch to look forward to, teaching ballet, and rehearsal. Oh how I love rehearsal. Let's go over some things shall we?

  • The show I am performing in is in 11 days. EEK!!! SCARY!! Do you have your tickets yet?
  • My hair is getting SO long and I love it. A lot.
  • And yet there is still a part of me that would love to whack it off. I love a drastic change.
  • It has been slightly warmer round these parts lately - enough so that it has melted all the ice that was causing me  grief. I really want spring/summer to be here NOW.
  • I have pink fingernails. They make me smile.
  • I need to make a dentist appointment. I hate the dentist. Seriously - I have never been a fan of going to the dentist. Do you have a good dentist in Utah county you love?
  • I'm working on some fun things to happen in the month of March. I'm quite excited about them.
  • This year January seems to be going by faster than it has in years past, I am very much okay with that.
  • I really like the image below. Makes my heart happy. Have a great day y'all!!

Pointe Counterpointe

Alrighty guys. Two weeks from today I am making my (big) comeback!! I am performing in Academy of Ballet's gala show - Pointe Counterpionte.

This performance is on January 31st and February 1st at 7pm. Yes, I know it is a Monday/Tuesday which is a little odd...but it doesn't mean you can't come! Dates can be ANY night of the week! Or better still, bring your FHE group/family. :o)

Anyways. Details. You can purchase tickets through the Covey Center's website, go to their office, or give them a holler on the telephone. Tickets are $8 for the balcony and $10 for the Mezzanine/Floor. If you are a student/senior, you get $2 off.

Now, you might be asking why you should come to this performance in downtown cougartown at the end of the month.  Let me give you 5 REALLY good reasons.
  1. You get to see me perform on stage for the first time in 2+ years. The piece I am in is amazing. It's a director's piece and we've been working so hard on it. So come.
  2. You get to see my amazing contemporary piece. This piece is really cool. Seriously, it's one of the coolest things I have ever choreographed. It was hard for me to choreograph and VERY much outside of my box - but it's turned out so cool!
  3. It is not ALL ballet! In fact there are quite a few contemporary, modern, and jazz pieces in the show!
  4. You also get to see my take on the classic Waltz of the Flowers dance. Shorter than the original, this piece is just aesthetically pleasing.
  5. Did I mention you get to see me dance? I am really excited about this and I would love to have a TON of friends come and support me. Especially seeing how my family lives so far away these days.
So there you go. 5 pretty darn good reasons why you should plan on attending Pointe Counterpointe this year. I hope you come! :o)

Dating Battle Stories: Sweetums - Part Two

Before we get started, I just want to point out to all you feed reader peoples that I changed my background. I haven't done this in a long time, mostly because I loved that cute little owl! However, I just decided I was bored with him. What do you think?

And now, as I am sure you have all been waiting on pins and needles for this, I bring you Part Two of the Recap on Sweetums. (make sure you've read Part One, or this is going to make NO sense whatsoever.)

So as I got on the plane to fly to Virginia - utterly exhausted mind you - I was very happy. I don't think things could have gone any better than they did. Sweetums and I didn't talk for several days (beyond a happy holidays text to each other) but that makes sense seeing as how we were both spending time with family - and there is a two hour time difference. We did talk about two days before I flew back to Utah and he asked some specifics on how I was getting home from the airport, what time would I land, etc.

When I landed in Utah and turned my phone back on I found a couple of text messages - one from Roommate R (who was picking me up) and one from Sweetums. He told me to give him call after I landed. So...I called him. Sweetums told me that I should gcome down to Elk Ridge where he was hanging out with Mighty Mouse and his wife, (you can search mighty mouse on my blog, i have mentioned him a few times and I used to have a huge crush on him a long time ago) SC and his wife (yes, the famous SC from this post) and SC's family. I agree to meet him down there - so off I go. It was an adventure getting to SC's parent's house - but I eventually made it.  Sweetums met me in the driveway and walked me inside. I met several new people, said hello to the people I knew and sat down to play some games.

Then...it was time to ring in the new year. We stood up to countdown and Sweetums and I are standing right next to each other. As the clock struck midnight and we yell Happy New Year, our married friends celebrated with a kiss and Sweetums put his arm around me. He leaned in and whispered in my ear, "this doesn't change anything, but it is tradition" and then he kissed me. I have to say, I was very pleased with his tactic. I had thought earlier that day while sitting in the Dallas/Fort Worth airport for four hours that I would be okay with a New Years kiss, but I wasn't sure how to convey that to Sweetums. Luckily, he must have thought about it as well seeing as how he went about it that night. :o) It was a very sweet kiss - a very good first kiss in my opinion. I'm not going to lie, after kissing someone for 2+ years I was a little worried about kissing someone new, but I am no longer worried about that. :)

{this is pretty much how that kiss went down... :o) }
After that - I tried sushi (yes, I tried sushi. I wasn't a fan of the texture, but the flavor was good.) and then SC and wife, Mighty Mouse and wife, and Sweetums and I left to go to SC and wife's house. We had so much fun making jokes, laughing SUPER hard, playing scum and just generally hanging out. We stayed up until 3:30 in the morning at which point we all went out to our cars. I'd started my car a few minutes earlier so it would be warm, but Sweetums hadn't. So while his car was heating up, he sat in my car and we talked. We talked about everything under the sun. I shared some secrets with him, we talked about how we still planned on moving slow, we talked about the weather...you name it, I'm pretty sure we talked about it. I don't remember everything we talked about, mostly because by this point I had been up for 24+ hours. (having to leave my parent's house at 6:45a to get to the airport before our flight. ugh.) By the time Sweetums and I finally decided to call it a day and I drove myself home - it was 6 am. I was up for 26 straight hours. Crazy eh? I went to sleep and then spent the day with Roommate A, her boyfriend, and The Australian.

Since then Sweetums and I have talked a couple of times and have made plans to make plans. ha ha. His schedule is still being finalized, but once it has then we'll probably end up doing stuff. :o)

So there you go. My adventures with Sweetums are now up-to date. In fact, all of my Dating Battle Stories are up to date! I will have a new update after this weekend seeing as how I have my first date with the Blindman on Friday. :o) Woo hoo! Have a great day y'all!

When cleaning your room gets to be the "fun" thing you do on a Friday night

Today is the First Friday of the new year. I love Fridays. They make my heart oh so happy! I just wish I had today off. :o( Oh well. I am also sitting her wishing I had fun and amazing plans for my Friday night. Unfortunately for me, I've got nothing. I desperately need to clean my room seeing how I've barely been home a week and I still have piles of Christmas presents and dirty clothes in the corners of my room. Sigh. Since when did cleaning your room become the "fun" thing to do? sigh.

Anyways. There are few things that I wanted to blog about today. The first one being - my birthday! I love my birthday. It is a holiday all about me! At least....I like to think of it that way. :o) Today marks the 2 month countdown until my birthday. 2 months people! In 2 months I will be a quarter of a century old - GAH!

It is a big milestone birthday and because of that, I want to do something AWESOME! I would love to go to Disneyland...but as of right now I'm not sure that's going to happen. I do have another event happening later in March, but I am not at liberty to blog about it yet. I will when I can. :o)

So...the reason I am blogging about my birthday now my dear internet friends is because I need some ideas of what to do for my birthday that are not expensive and I can do them here in Utah.  I want to have an awesome birthday party to celebrate. I'm thinking a mocktail party would be really fun but any other ideas you might have would be welcome. I really want to have it be a "themed" party - like a fiesta party or toga party or something. Your thoughts would be much appreciated.

The other thing I wanted to blog today is the Friday Fill-ins. It has been a long time since I have participated in Friday Fill-ins and today I am going to do it. :o) Enjoy!!
