Hello my friends! It's been a little while since I've done a Tender Mercy Tuesday huh? Sorry about that - not that there haven't been blessings in my life....it's just I haven't taken the time to sit down and tell you about them.
Last night I received a wonderful tender mercy during my run. Now this might not make sense at first, but stay with me and it might make sense in the end. (I hope)
As you may recall, I have been doing ballet basically my entire life. So excuse me while I talk about dance for just a moment (this relates, I promise!) When you turn (pirouettes, chaines, fouettes, etc) there is a technique dancers use to not get dizzy: spotting. So, when you spot when turning and traveling across the floor/stage you pick a spot in the place you want to end up and you want this spot to be just above eye level so that your chin doesn't drop and the audience can't see your pretty face. BUT as you get closer to your destination, your spot has to change otherwise your chin is going to end up too high in the air, your focus too high and you'll defeat the purpose of spotting and end up a dizzy mess.
You're probably wondering right now what this has to do with running, well let me tell you!
See, when I run I like to pick an object to run to, often a lampost or a bush, or a tree. Something easily identifiable. Often, I pick this object with the thought that "if I just get to that tree then I can walk for just a second." Usually I then a pick another object to walk to...this process usually happens as I'm getting very tired and drained and am trying to push myself. Last week as I started running again (after too long of a hiatus) I found myself using this "trick" of pushing myself (or so I thought) quite often. Well last night, things went differently.
Soldier Boy and I decided to pick a new place to run besides the block around my house and jumped on his motorcycle to go to the City Park which I kid you not is less than a mile from my house. This City Park is HUGE. We had found a runner's map that ran a route around the park that was about 2 miles. We didn't end up going the 2 miles (we skipped one of the loops and took a shortcut. ;) ) but the great thing about this run is that I had a new realization. See, if I apply the theories of spotting to my run, then I go longer and keep up a very regular pace (especially if I'm listening to some good music, which I was!). See, instead of picking an object to run/jog to and then walking, as I got closer to my object of choice I would pick a new object to run to - BEFORE I reached the original object. Make sense? All I know is that it made my run so much easier last night - Saturday I had gotten really sick while running and was worried that last night would be the same. I am happy to report that for me, I have a new way to run and get through the hard parts (I even ran up TWO small hills WITHOUT STOPPING! This is huge for me as I hate hills) and a way to push through my runs. I am very excited to try this theory out again in the near future and hopefully use it in longer distance runs as I get more in shape.
Also - just a random fact about last night's run. After it was finished, Soldier Boy and I were stretching in the parking lot and all of a sudden fireworks started going off. It was a great way to celebrate the end of a great run for us and we chilled out on the grass for a bit before heading back to my place. :o) Good times.

Friday Things
Hey dear friends! Are you melting yet? It's definitely summertime around these parts with temperatures extremely hot. I'm not going to lie, I've been looking forward to some hot weather lately. I'm excited to spend time out in the sun doing fun summer-like things.
with that note, let's get this party started!
with that note, let's get this party started!
- For the first time in my life I am going to The Mormon Miracle Pageant down in Manti. I'm really kind of excited, even if it's cheesy. :o)
- As part of this excitement, Soldier Boy and I are going to go camping! woo hoo! I love camping and I'm excited to do it with the someone that I love.
- Soldier Boy's daughter is coming too! I always look forward to spending time with her. It should be good times.
- Dancing last night was lots of fun times. I love dancing with my boyfriend. He's an amazing dancer and it's always a wonderful time to be dancing with him. :o)
- One of my former Relief Society presidents is getting married tomorrow. I am so happy for her and am excited to go and wish her well.
- Pandora and I have been really good friends as of late. I'm a fan of music. HUGE fan.
- So....I'm moving right? I still don't know where yet, but I'm working on that. :P I hate looking for somewhere to live. It's so...crazy.
- the show last weekend went well. It wasn't without it's dramatic moments, but it went well. My girls performed admirably and I was so proud of them. They looked amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better group of girls to end my year on. I'll miss them, but I look forward to the new opportunities that await me in the future.
- My room is a disaster. Because I'm moving sometime in the next 6 weeks...I really don't want to clean it. I should just start putting things into boxes....hmmmm......
- work has been fairly crazy this past week. :P I might be starting to go crazy...

sometimes....
sometimes life is really busy. Now is one of those times. I'm sorry. I wish I wasn't so busy sometimes and I could post really cool things, but then I don't really have cool things to post right now. My dating life revolves around my sweet, adorkable boyfriend Soldier Boy. I'm kind of head over heels for this guy and I'm okay with that.
The good news is that it's Thursday and that can only mean one thing.....
That's all guys. Life is good. I'm good. Give me a couple weeks and then things will be even better. Maybe I'll actually blog about my summer adventures.... :o)
Have a great weekend!!
The good news is that it's Thursday and that can only mean one thing.....
- my weekend up north was SUPER fantastic!!! I loved every minute of it and had the time of my life.
- Soldier Boy's daughter (who really needs a 'nym....hmmm...) is ADORABLE and she loves me. which is good because....
- I get to spend all day with her tomorrow! due to some interesting circumstances that I don't quite understand, I'm babysitting. :o)
- I'm really, really excited about this. My original plan for my day off included lunch w/Soldier Boy, so that's still happening - there will just be an extra person with us. ;)
- 2 more weeks of dance classes....yes, I AM counting down. I'm rather excited for the end of the year.
- I'm getting really excited about my summer this year. Soldier Boy and I have tentative plans for a good chunk of June and I'm rather stoked about this.
- Work was insanely busy all week long. Gah!!
- My brain is fried.
- But I get to go dancing tonight, so it's all good.

just a few things....
hey guys. remember me? yeah. i've been busy. sue me. I'm always busy. :P but it's the good kind of busy - I'm busy having the TIME OF MY LIFE!!! :o)
anywho. here are just a few things on my mind as of late:
anywho. here are just a few things on my mind as of late:
- the boyfriend is awesome. Today we celebrate our one month of officially dating-ness. he is so super fantastic and I am so lucky that he is mine. so, so lucky.
- yesterday i spent the day with the boyfriend and his daughter. It was a great day filled with sunshine and happiness. the only downside was having the day end and both of us driving away from each other until Saturday night. :P
- if you haven't tried out e.l.f cosmetics you totally should. they have GREAT products with AMAZING customer service. just for example: i ordered some product and it shipped and what not, but it was missing an item. i emailed them today, they got back to me the SAME DAY and are shipping out the missing product asap. This makes me REALLY happy. OH and they are now selling select products in Target. awesomeness.
- I'm not going dancing tonight. I have too many things to get done. PLUS Soldier Boy isn't going...and I don't like going when he's not there.
- Blogging for work? It's awesome. I am in love with it. I want to do more of it.
- I am moving in July - but I don't know where to yet. It makes me nervous to not know details to certain variables in my life. sigh.
- oh. if you know of somewhere that is month-to-month renting, with an unfurnished bedroom north of orem and south of sandy available sometime in July please let me know? thank you. :o)
- after looking at my budget and looking at my loans - it has officially been decided that i will be paying off my car loan by the end of October. this is just 2 months shy of the three years that i have owned said car. I'm REALLY excited about this.
- my coworker just asked what we would like without eyelashes. hmm. interesting thought.
- I think I'm going to try out this manicure this weekend. Should be fun times.

Marvelous Monday Meanderings
My dearest friends!
It has been FAR too long since my last (sort of depressing) post! I apologize for that! So many amazing things have been happening and life is splendidly wonderful and I have a rosier/happier outlook on life. Granted, there are still hard things BUT they are suddenly more manageable. Funny how that happens.
FIRST off, there was the 182nd Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was a wonderful weekend where I was spoiled with lots of quality time with my future boyfriend, Soldier Boy. We also had the wonderful opportunity (thanks Chilly!) to go to the Afternoon Session in the conference center, which is ALWAYS a treat. We had a blast.
SECOND off, we (Soldier Boy and I) got GREAT news this week and it puts us one step closer to being in a real-life, public relationship. :o) I can't wait to kiss that boy again. He drives me crazy (in a good way) and I can't wait until I can call him mine for reals.
THIRDLY, one of the two studios I teach for had their year-end concert this weekend: Emotions are in Motion. I got to be a mime and it was REALLY fun! I enjoyed my moments on stage and got a kick out of playing with the audience. Good times. Also, this means that I am done teaching for said studio. HUZZAH for open Monday evenings! I'm so excited about this, I'm not quite sure WHAT to do with myself! :o)
MOVING right along.... I found this amazing quote from the ever brilliant wily brunette and I just HAD to share it with you.
FINALLY, I promise to be a better blogger. Or at least TRY to be a better blogger. Then maybe this whole catch up thing wouldn't seem so daunting because everything would be current. Have a lovely Spring day!
P.S. You should check out my friend and her blog post that went up yesterday about Sparkling. She's a lovely writer with a lovely thoughts on life and she's constantly reminding me to be the best person I am. Seriously, I don't know how I would get through some days without her. :o)

"You're going to discover that conversations are best at 4 am. The heavier the eyelids, the sincerer the words. Those are the talks you'll remember. It's okay not to know the answer and silence is not awkward. It's shared, so share it more often than not."There is truth in this statement yo. Soldier Boy and I always seem to have the BEST conversations in the early morning hours when we're so tired and really should be in bed. I love it.

Thursday Things
- I am tired. Also, my to-do list is ridonkulously long right now. Not a fan of that.
- This week has been rough. Granted, the week after a vacation is usually that way, but with some of the emotional turmoil in my life it was extra hard.
- I can't believe it's spring (and it actually feels like it!). This year is really going to fly by, I can feel it.
- There are changes coming to my life this next year - some that I know exactly when they're going to happen and some when I have NO IDEA when they're going to happen. I am ready for change.
- I know I'll be moving this summer. I'm not signing a year contract at my current residence. (as much as i love my place!) I don't know where I'm moving to yet....but I'm moving. I hate moving.
- I need to do some serious spring cleaning. I'm hoping to get a jump start on that this weekend.
- I can't help but remember the fun times from a year ago that happened this week. That was good times y'all, good times.
- Four of my Ten company members are missing class and rehearsal tonight because of school related events. This drives me nuts. I'm thinking we're just going to watch a movie today in class. I hardly ever do that. If ever really. That will be fun, right? sigh. I can't wait until this dance year is done. I'm so burned out right now.
- dancing tonight needs to happen. I need the release dancing brings. Especially when that dancing involves Solider Boy. He calms my heart.
- just ate lunch with some coworkers. made my day. sat outside...got some Vitamin D....I need more sunshine. Good thing the weather is going to be so fantastic this weekend.
- chocolate covered pomegranates are amazing.
- i need a mani/pedi. i wonder if i have time to slip that in somewhere this weekend...

a birthday hangover....
I'm just a little on the tired side of life this morning. I had the BEST birthday last night! It was utterly fantastic. Let's get onto Thursday Things and I'll share some details....and PICTURES!!
- Like I said, FANTASTIC BIRTHDAY party last night. It was just Sister B, her husband and Solider Boy. (plus me of course)
- Dinner was HOMEMADE by Soldier Boy and it was my favorite dish of all time - Chicken Cordon Bleu. mmmm...I have leftovers for lunch or dinner today and I'm rather excited about that. :o)
- I was kidnapped last night and then Roommate A helped Solider Boy out by decorating the apt...it was a princess themed birthday party. It was fantastic.
- After the AMAZING dinner we played my new game (oh! I almost forgot! My sister had hid ALL of my presents in my apartment and I had to go looking for them...it was very creative. I loved it)
- One of my other presents was this adorable piggy bank:
- isn't she cute? :o)
- After presents and games and dinner...we went to Trafalga (wearing my birthday crown!) and played a round of mini-golf. Fantastic fun right there.
- THEN it was time for cake. I LOVE cake. My sister made THE BEST cake EVER!
- Seriously, is that not the CUTEST cake you have EVER seen? I loved it!!
- Honestly, it was the BEST birthday ever!
- Tonight I get my birthday jam at Blue Tango. I'm REALLY excited about this.
- Tomorrow is my day off and I get to play with my Truit.
- Saturday I'm going to dinner w/my friends and stuff. I'm excited for that.
- one week from today I'll be in Disneyland! :o) YAY DISNEYLAND!!!!!!!!!
- Pretty much, the next 10 days are going to be SUPER DUPER AWESOME!
- Finally, today's photo-a-day prompt was: WINDOW. Here's my bedroom window looking out.... have a great day y'all!

Hey guys. me again. Hope you're having a splendid Friday. My right contact is throwing a hissy fit, and my hamstrings are sore from dancing last night....but I'm a happy camper. So that's good.
Here's today's Photo-A-Day. The prompt? Fruit.
AND because I love you and because it's Friday....a few bonus pictures from my adventure to Barnes and Noble with Soldier Boy the other day. :o)

Thursday Things + new things
Hey all y'all. Having a good week? I had one awfully, terrible day wedged between two amazingly wonderful days. I just love life and the roller coaster it sends me on on a weekly, er daily basis. :o)
Anywho, I have some Thursday Things for ya, followed by something new at the VERY end of this post. So...stick it out. ;) (or, ya know, just scroll to the bottom if you're just too excited to see this something new.)
Hope you all have a great weekend! I'm looking forward to mine...mostly because once it's over it means I'll be closer to my birthday!!!! :o)

- we've gotten some snow in the past couple of days. I really hope we don't have a crazy late winter that affects my spring. I love spring.
- dancing. LOVE it. I took a ballet class this week to help me release some emotional angst that I had and it was the best thing ever. I'm thinking I might need to go take class at Ballet West sometime soon.
- Soldier Boy is pretty much a rock star and I like him. the end.
- I get to go dancing at Blue Tango tonight - I'm excited for it, but I'm more excited for it next week because then I get my birthday jam. :o) SO STOKED.
- Speaking of my birthday, it is in SIX days. You should work on finding me a present.
- Disneyland is in TWO WEEKS. oh my goodness. I can't believe this is ACTUALLY HAPPENING guys. I've dreamed of this for ages.
- Finally, I've decided to participate in the ever popular Photo A Day meme through Instagram. So...today's prompt was UP. Stay tuned for many a more Photos-A-Day to come your way! :-)

Thursday Shenanigans
Hey dears! It's Thursday! Also, there are less than TWO weeks until my birthday. Luckily for you, you still have plenty of time to get me a birthday present. ;)
In other news, I have plans to be extremely productive this weekend. I know I've said that a lot in the past, but I really believe that to be true. So...without further ado: some Thursday Things. (aka SHENANIGANS!)
In other news, I have plans to be extremely productive this weekend. I know I've said that a lot in the past, but I really believe that to be true. So...without further ado: some Thursday Things. (aka SHENANIGANS!)
- I was fairly tame in college. No extreme late nights, no crazy parties. It seems that I might be making up for that now. This is difficult because I'm older and my body needs sleep more than it did as a 20-year old co-ed. ha. Life is fun.
- Solider Boy is the sweetest future boyfriend a girl could ask for. I'm so glad he's my friend right now.
- I danced in the parking lot in the rain last night. It was amazing. :-)
- Tonight I get to go to Blue Tango. I LOVE Blue Tango. Seriously, if you're anywhere close to Cougartown and have a love for dancing, then you need to get your butt there pronto. It's great fun.
- Tomorrow I get to go to Ft. Douglas. I've never been there!
- Also tomorrow I'm going to the temple w/my bestest roommate, Roommate R! :o) I'm rather excited to be there with her tomorrow.
- I went to a really good Thai restaurant last night. It was nummy.
- My trainer is pretty fantastic. He has made me find muscles I didn't even know existed. My inner thighs? They are sore. :P
- My hair is getting REALLY long and I LOVE it. :o) It's great.
- I already have an idea of the epic summer adventures I'm going to have - it's going to be one GREAT summer. :o)
- Finally, here's a list of everything else I'd like to get done (there's a TON more I WANT to get done, but I'm trying to be realistic here)
- clean off bottom of night stand
- clean out and clean off cedar chest
- clean bathroom (maybe. still debating this one. ;) )
- Update St. Patty's day wreath for door.
- Decorate for St. Patty's day
- Start to make (maybe do the whole thing?) my new bag for Disneyland
- Make a spring table runner
- clean out fridge
- clean out pantry - organize it!
- Sounds do-able right? right. :o)

Thursday Things
It has been one insanely crazy day at the office, but I just wanted to leave you with a few things before taking off for the weekend. (you'll probably still see my outfit post for tomorrow, but that's about it!)
- Soldier Boy called me last night. It was another 2ish hour conversation. I'm a fan of him.
- Work is crazy.
- changes are coming to my job at work - I get to start helping out and collaborating on everything social media for my company. Facebook, Twitter, Blogging (!) - I'm REALLY excited about it.
- I was on the phone a lot at work today - it was ringing off the hook
- During my (later than normal) lunch break, Solider Boy texted me with this remark: :) 6 hours!!!
- To say I was giddy about seeing that text was an understatement.
- I've been counting down for the past day.
- Things that are happening this weekend include: dancing the night away with a really cute boy, getting a good night kiss, shoe shopping (desparately needing new black flats), and dress shopping.
- Also, I think we're going to the some hot springs somewhere local. We'll see if that goes down.
- Dress rehearsal at the studio is happening on Saturday. Joy. :P
- ZUMBA! Saturday morning! If you want details on the FREE class that my 2nd counselor is offering, let me know. ALL are welcome! (unless you're a creepy stalker. then probably not.)

A Friday!!!
Hello dearest friends.
Guess what?
It's FRIDAY! Oh how I love that today is Friday. Tomorrow is going to be my busiest day of the month BY FAR, but I'm still excited for it to be the weekend. This is mostly because this is my last FULL week of work until the middle of January. (I have planned my vacationing/time off well..... ;) )
Last night Monkey Man took me salsa dancing. It was a blast. I loved every minute of it. He's a very good dancer and I enjoyed being in his arms throughout the evening. Loved it.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Don't implode! ;) (that's my one goal this weekend - don't implode)

Thursday Things
Hi guys. things are crazy. When are they not crazy right? but really....this time of year is always nuts-o in the office and this year is NO exception. I have just a few thoughts that I want to share with y'all today.
- I went to the temple last night with members of my ward. It was so wonderful to be there with my friends. I love going to the temple and last night was no exception. I had a wonderful expereince and can't wait to repeat it sometime in the near future.
- Tonight Monkey Man is taking me salsa dancing. :o)
- I'm nervous and I think I know why. See...the last time a significant other took me dancing it was SwingKid and it was @ Blue Tango - a venue we frequented often when we were dating and a place I still frequent. (In fact, I'm ditching Blue Tango tonight for salsa dancing.) And I'm just nervous about dancing with Monkey Man. I'm sure he's a fabulous dancer...but it's still a little nerve wracking. I'm sure it will be fine, but for now I'm nervous.
- I leave for VA in 13 days. I have WAY too much to do between now and then. I have no idea how I'm going to get everything done in the next 13 days. GAH!
- Have I mentioned that work is insane? Yeah. INSANE.

Tender Mercy Tuesdsay - 47th Edition
BEST Tender Mercy ever was given to me this weekend you guys.
So remember last year when I got to perform and it healed my heart, body, and soul?
Yeah, I remember that too. :o)
Well, it's happening again this year! Wahoo! We're doing a director's piece to Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley. We're not dancing to the entire six minutes - the music will get cut.
I am so excited at the opportunity to perform. I think it's really important for our dancers and their parents to see the directors dance. They get the chance to see that we really are skilled at what we do. :)
Dancing has always been such a great place for me to release my emotions and what not and I feel so blessed that I am still able to perform.
We had our first rehearsal last night and these girls that I get to dance with they are just....AMAZING. I love them so much and getting to spend time with them on a fairly regular basis is going to keep me so happy.

Happy Dance!
guys. I love love love Thursdays. I always say that because it is oh so TRUE! :o) This week has been just awful in many ways and I am very glad to have weekend just about here. I have a lot of random things, so let's get this party started shall we?
- BLUE TANGO! TONIGHT! I am so excited to go dancing! One of my favorite peeps to dance with is going to be there tonight and I'm rather excited about this.
- Tomorrow is Date Night. In fact, this last weekend Monkey Man was conversing w/someone from the ward about Movie Night and the next movie we were going to do and where and such and the topic of when came up. This other person mentioned how we could do Friday and Monkey Man said, "Friday night is Date Night. You can't mess with Date Night." I was SO EXCITED to hear those words come from his mouth. I love Date Night. On the agenda is dinner, apple pie making and the annual lighting festival at the Riverwoods. Sounds festive right? :o)
- I am going to be crafty this weekend and I am just so excited about this. I'm going to make a new bag for my church stuff. :o) It should be pretty sweet. Maybe I'll take pictures and tell you about it. Maybe.
- I got whacked in the face with a volleyball last night. Got whiplash. WORST headache EVER. but it was a fun night regardless.
- Also, last night I had a training meeting with the General Relief Society board. It was a wonderful board. I took so many pages of notes of things that I can be doing better. Part of me LOVES these meetings and another part of me hates them because afterwards I just feel so inadequate. There is so much room for improvement.
- I am just so happy these days when it comes to Monkey Man. After an emotional breakdown (over things that have been building up for some time now) on Tuesday evening, Monkey Man let me gripe and complain. He lent the best listening ear. The conversation led to other topics and his philosophies on life and the gospel are so well aligned with mine it is sometimes scary. I really really really really like him. I think he's the bee's knees and love being able to spend time with him any way I can.
- My cousin is blessing her baby up in L* this weekend. Sister B, Brother-in-Law T and I are all going up to spend time with them. Monkey Man may or may not be coming depending on his schedule on Sunday. Regardless, I am excited to spend time with my cousins.
- I really love going to the gym. SO GREAT.
- I'm really excited for the Holidays. They are going to be so much fun this year.
- Also, what does when get a boy they've been dating for a short time (*cough Monkey Man cough*) for Christmas? I'm thinking maybe I'll make a stocking and stuff it with cute, fun knick knacks, but I'm not sure. Your ideas are welcome.

Happy it's Thursday!
Wow. Is it just me or has this week been eternally long? Honestly....Yesterday felt like it should have been Friday and yet it was only Wednesday. Also - work has been absolutely insane and I think I'm slowly going crazy.
Anywho. Let's get this show on the road before the phones ring again and I have to get myself to a meeting....
Anywho. Let's get this show on the road before the phones ring again and I have to get myself to a meeting....
- I burned myself with my 3-barrell curling iron on Saturday. :(
- I have a dinner-date with Monkey Man tomorrow night. I'm very much looking forward to that.
- There's Blue Tango dancing tonight (like always) but I'm not sure I'm going to go. I might come home and go to bed instead. We'll see.
- I'm subbing for another teacher tonight so I'll be teaching later than normal. That is one of the reasons why I might not go dancing. Plus...I am really, really tired right now. But maybe I'll have more energy later?
- I know last week I hinted at doing a post on my trainer...it's coming. Promise.
- I think I need some cupcakes. I really like cupcakes.
- I have a girl's night out coming up next week and I am just SO excited about it. PLUS I love the girls that I'm hanging out with which means that that evening should be just utter fantasticness.
- I have too many craft projects that I want to do. :P
- So I think I might need to have a crafty afternoon where I don't worry about how clean my house is - but instead I just craft away my day. Sounds like a good plan right?

Thursday Things
Good Thursday Morning lovelies. I hope you're having a FANTASTIC day in the neighborhood. I know I am! :o) I'm rather excited that it is finally Thursday. Around here it's Friday because I don't work tomorrow. Halleluiah. :o) Let's get to the good stuff shall we?
Have a great weekend folks! :o)
- My date with Monkey Man was a BLAST. Seriously. So much win. My pumpkin carving skills are awesome AND Xbox Kinnect? TOTALLY WICKED!!! Seriously. SO MUCH FUN!
- I'm really excited for my weekend. It starts tonight after my ballet class with a hair appointment. super stoked for THAT tonight. THEN I'm going dancing. Will get my flirt on...etc etc.
- Tomorrow I'm sleeping in, going to the gym, helping my sister changer her name on her driver's license, going to the temple, rehearsing my ballet company and going to movie night. (Star Trek anyone?)
- Saturday includes sleeping in, going to the gym, being crafty, watching BYU Football and THEN going to see Ballet West's Dracula.
- My date for the ballet? Monkey Man. yup, I asked him last night after our date got over. He wasn't sure he could go because of previous plans...but then his friends canceled said plans. So our ballet date is a go!
- Monkey Man was really cute last night...he held my hand again - but it was cute how anxious and unsure we both were and trying to read the other person on their thoughts of holding hands...yeah. He's cute.
- Here's an interesting fact and something I discussed with my coworkers this morning - I have a crush on Monkey Man, but it's not the same as other crushes (i.e. Fryman, Surfer Boy, Grizzly Bear, etc); with past crushes I have imagined how everything would play out (dating, to kissing, to getting engaged, to getting married, etc) because I am a girl and I fantasize about EVERYTHING. I haven't done that with Monkey Man at all. My one coworker thinks it's because I'm not having to do all the work (not that I always do all the asking with other guys...but I do do a lot of encouraging/inviting etc). I think she's right. She also told me that's how it worked for her and her husband and another former coworker of ours and her husband. They never really thought of their husbands as potentials until after they started dating. So...I'm not forecasting anything, I'm just making an observation. ;)
- In other non-boy related news, Katria sent me this link to an AMAZING dance performance. YOU NEED TO WATCH IT. Even if you don't really like dance, WATCH IT. It's INCREDIBLE.
- Also incredible? This non-traditional version of Swan Lake. SWEET CRAZINESS. I thought my jaw was going to fall off. So amazing.
- This article about BYU and the Big-12 was very interesting. I learned new things.
- My little bro turned 19 yesterday. He's getting to be SO grown up! I just can't stand it. :o)
- Finally, let me leave you with this awesome print I found on pinterest. :o)
Have a great weekend folks! :o)

mish-mash of my brain
so. my brain hurts. I have so many thoughts. I just don't even know where to begin. This is where pinterest comes to my rescue. Here's a little taste of my thought process today:
i want this print in my house:
i want to live IN this house:
i love Lucy:
I am pretty sure I need this outfit:
I sort of want to be doing this right now:
so there you go. that's not everything going on in my brain right now, but it is a very good chunk of what is happening in my brain right now.

Thursday Things
Well dear friends, it is Thursday. This week has felt way too long and yesterday I was wishing it was the weekend already. Didn't help that people at the gym were telling me to have a good weekend - when I plan on going to the gym between now and the beginning of my weekend. Stupid gym people.
Anyways, let's get this show on the road shall we? This is going to be a picture heavy Thursday Things, because I want it to be, so just deal with it okay? Okay.
- I have to go to the dentist today to get four cavities filled. I AM NOT excited about this in the slightest. I have shared my dislike for the dentist before and nothing has changed since last time.
- There is a lot going on in the next few days. I am excited for my plans!
- For example, tonight (after the dentist) I'll probably stop by for the end of movie night and then go dancing. Unless I feel like I'm going to die because of the dentist. We shall see.
- Tomorrow night a bunch of friends and I are going up the canyon for a tinfoil dinner and dutch oven dessert extravaganza. I am SO excited. I'm hoping that the area looks a lot like this:
- Saturday consists of the 181st Semi-Annual General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I get to go to the afternoon session with some people from my ward. I am so excited! I just love conference! If you are curious, there are many, many ways to participate. Check this out to find out more!
- Also on Saturday a bunch of my former roommates are getting together for a girl's night party. I'm rather excited to see everyone again.
- Another thing that is probably happening on Saturday - hanging out with Grizzly Bear per his suggestion. Will he step it up? Maybe. we'll see.
- Sunday is going to be filled with more General Conference AND I get to sing outside of the conference center in the afternoon. I'm very excited for that too.
- I think I need to make this dessert this weekend. It just looks DIVINE.
- I am awesome and talented because I can read this:
- I want to be this guy right here right now:
- and finally....I have decided I need to be more conscious of living this:

WooHoo! It's FRIDAY!!!!
Guys. This week has been insanely long and uber busy. I am so glad it is almost the weekend! I need this weekend. I realized last night while I was dancing the night away at Blue Tango that I never did one of my favorite posts of the week: Thursday Things!! I love doing it and I am so sad I missed it. So today....we'll do FRIDAY THINGS!!! :o)
- Dancing last night was EPIC!!!! The music was fantastic, I had some amazing dances, and overall it was the best time all week. :o) The end.
- I have a story about Surfer Boy...see below.
- Sometimes I feel like my life is just the same thing over and over again and then all of a sudden something happens and I'm reminded that each day is a gift.
- Work was absolutely insane yesterday. sigh. I'm glad that I only have 7 more hours to go until the weekend!
- We were supposed to be having company pictures tomorrow for my ballet company, but then....they got canceled due to the weather. (they were supposed to be outside)
- The bad news with this is that I still can't sleep in because of picking up my bountiful basket. Had I known, I would have done a later pick up time. oh well. c'est la vie.
- The good news is that I can now help my ward clean the church building that morning AND then have ALL day to do errands and chores.
- My poor house needs a good cleaning. AND fall decorations.
- FALL DECORATIONS! OH MY GOSH! I just realized I can put those up now! WOO HOO!!!!
- I just love fall. I am actually kind of excited that it is cooler in the mornings these days.
- BYU plays the Utes tomorrow. I'm sort of excited for this game. It should be fun, fun times.
- My challenge this week has been going REALLY well. In fact, I think I'm going to try it for another week. I feel so much better about myself and my productivity this week.
So, after my little freak out Wednesday afternoon and trying to decide what I should do...I went to the gym. (PS NOBODY [besides my friend quoted in said post] gave me any advice. What is up with that yo?!) So, I'm at the gym and Wednesday was a weight day - so I’m doing a circuit with dumbbells
and such and I glance over to the other area - where all the machines are - and
I see Surfer Boy. I kind gasped inside, but kept going. I finished my circuit
and had one thing left - the rowing machine. I had just noticed Surfer Boy go
into the men's changing room and so I thought to myself, "self, if you get
on the rowing machine you'll probably miss him leaving and then you won't get
to say hi and you'll really feel like a stalker." so instead I took a 2-minute
break to stretch my arms and such and stood by a half wall that I was using to
stretch. (And it was conveniently right by the way to get out of the gym)
Anyways. I’m watching out of the
corner of my eye and he starts to walk by...but doesn't notice me....but I
decide to "see him" and glance up, say his name, and start to take
out my headphones and we chit chat for a moment. so, we’re talking and he
mentions that "we're thinking of doing a movie night on Friday" (we
being him and another guy in my ward that hosted the last movie night) he
continued "I’ve been talking about it with so-and-so and we're just
deciding on the where and such right now" I was jumping up in down on the
inside! I was so excited!! Anyways...I told him that sounded good and that I’d
be in. :o) then he left, I did the rowing machine and went home a happy, happy
girl.
So there you go. I haven't heard an exact plan for movie night yet...but I have hopes. I just have to restrain myself from texting him to ask about it....unless I haven't heard anything at like 7p tonight. :o) Here's hoping it's going somewhere....eventually. he he he he.
