Fantastical Evening
Anywho, dancer boy picked me up and off we went to the Parade of Homes! We only actually looked at two Parade of Homes, but the first one we saw had a bunch of homes holding open houses and we walked through those as well. Our first house we went to was this one: #17. This home is going for 2.5 million dollars!!! It was a beautiful home. There were many things I loved about this house, and a few things I didn't like. We then looked at a house next door that was going for some ridiculous amount of money that I can't remember. It was 7,000 square feet though. Kinda of looked, and felt like a castle. It was very dark and had lots of wasted space. Not a favorite. The third house we looked at was down the street, 10,000 square feet or so and going for like 3.5 million or something like that. It was gorgeous. This house felt like a home. Although the master room had a fire place in the middle of it and that was stupid.
The next Parade of Home we went to was #15. This home was beautiful on the outside and looked very promising. We were very excited. However, once you entered the floor plan seemed a little odd and the couple who purchased the home made it very modern. (dancer boy hates modern style) There was a lot of chrome finishing, sleek lines, and a very sterile feel to the house. It definitely was more retired home-ish and not so much homey for a family. Also, from the living room/kitchen area one could see straight into the master bedroom and master bath. Not so cool. I was not a fan. Blah. It is definitely a house that would have to be kept immaculate. Which is not possible with little kids. Good thing I'm not living there. :)
I loved looking at homes. It was a lot of fun and the company was awesome. We went to Pita Pit after our adventures and it was a lot of fun seeing dancer boy interact. He's a great person and we talk so easily. After that we came back to my apartment and chatted for a while before he left. Now here I sit, and I think I'm going to go to bed. I have a lot to get done tomorrow and the more I can do the better I will feel. Especially because part of that involves a 10-page paper. eek!!!! Have a great weekend y'all!!
Friday Fill-In
1. For me frustration is the opposite of creativity.
2. The Book of Mormon was the last excellent book I read.
3. I like fill-ins because they make for easy blog posts when I have a bazillion other things to be doing, like writing a 10-page paper.
4. In nature I like looking at flowers and trees.
5. Someone who will try to do good things should win the US elections.
6. The last time I laughed with all my belly was Thursday night when my roommates and I went to get slurpees and we rocked out to Backstreet Boys in the parking garage.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to my date with dancer boy to the Parade of Homes, tomorrow my plans include writing a 10-page paper, studying for a test, writing another paper and having a shindig at my apartment and Sunday, I want to watch a Disney movie with dancer boy, relax, and not worry about all my projects that I have to do!

Yes, it works!!!
Example from my life:
The book mentions to not contact the guy first, let him contact you, ask you out first, ask for the second date, etc.
Well....with ST...I tried to do this, but I couldn't handle it! I gave in! And guess what? things are just AWFUL with him. And just like Paige says, he has all the power in the relationship, and not in a good way. He knows he can walk all over me and I'll still want him in my life.
So then we have dancer boy...who I waited to call me (which he did, today) and he and I are going out on Thursday. oh, and he asked if he could see me before then. So he came over. which was awesome. I feel so much better about my relationship with dancer boy right now compared to ST. I feel like ST knows he doesn't have to try to have a relationship with me while dancer boy does. I want both of them to have to "court me" per se and they can't do that if I keep making contact them with all the time. Right now I have a lot more faith that a relationship with dancer boy is possible compared to ST. We shall see what will happen. In any case, I am much excited that not only did dancer boy get my number but he's used it!!! TWICE!!! :) He rocks.
Anyways...Dating Without Drama...it works. So WORTH it!! I encourage everyone to read it. It is awesome.

oops...
Backing up to the beginning of when CPM and I got there. There were not many people there (even though it was a bit after 9 pm). The first people that caught my eye were two guys that were waltzing (a slow song was playing)...by themselves! They were obviously making fun of themselves...but in my moment of braveness for the evening I ran up to the one and put my hand in his (totally catching him off guard) and told him he couldn't dance by himself. We finished out the song...and became friends! I introduced Kyle, my new friend (his 'nym for the moment shall be dancer boy) introduced me to his friend. We danced some more as a group, he and I had another slow song dance, and then he had to leave. However, before he left he got my number.
When I got home from church I had a text message from dancer boy. It was inviting me to his house for Disney movie night. I love disney movies. a lot. So I texted him back ... here's our conversation:
dancer boy: Disney movie night at my house. Everyone invited. Call for directions
me: What Disney movie? I love Disney movies
dancer boy: We haven't decided yet but you can totally come! :)
me: Rock on. Where do you live?
dancer boy: (his address) I would love to have you. You're welcome to bring friends if you're more comfortable.
me: Right on. I am so there. I think some of my roommates are going to come too.
dancer boy: great. see you then!
Isn't that AWESOME???!?!?!?!?!!
So....Roommate A and I drove up to his house (he lives with his parents) and went to "movie night" with a whole bunch of his friends. lol. The nice thing is that dancer boy sat next to me during the movie, and according to Roommate A he kept sneaking glances at me and watching my reaction during the movie. Now, I didn't see a thing of this...but...she said he was very cute and tasteful about it. After the movie ended (we watched Cars, which I had never seen) we talked forever...and he only talked to me. He didn't go and talk to others, in fact he didn't even seem to care about anyone else in the room. That was a nice feeling. As we left, he lingered until I left (I was the last one out) and then I gave him a hug, thanked him for inviting me and told him to "have a fantabulous Memorial day." He responded that he would and that we would be "in touch." It was so cute!!! I held back the urge to want to text him right after we left...and it's a good thing too! He texted me a little while ago thanking me for coming and that he had fun. I replied in much the same manner. So....I have a new interest and I love it. Now we'll wait and see if he asks me out... and I'm off to bed. :-)

Time On Your Side
The last verse I like the best, mostly because it describes me in a nutshell. This is what the last verse says:
She’s a dancer
and when she dances she is free
and free in the moment
and clouds rise in the east
to Frank Sinatra which your parents put on repeat
on repeat
I really like that.
I consider myself a dancer. Friday night I went dancing on campus (Spring Dance - not like social dancing or anything). I had a blast and really enjoyed letting myself loose. Last night I went swing dancing on campus (which was so much fun!). I don't have much experience swing dancing, so attending the free lesson for the first hour and a half was a good thing. I was able to pick up on the steps pretty quickly and felt really good to be out dancing. The fun thing is one kid (James?) asked me to dance and while we were dancing he asked if I was a "ballroom-er" because I danced like one. I thanked him for the compliment but said that I was actually a ballerina. He said that made sense. The other fun thing is that while dancing with Scott #3, (there are 3 in my life currently. I have to keep them straight somehow) he said that he was pretty sure I could get good pretty fast. All this because I am a dancer. I get really happy when people recognize that I am a dancer. It makes me think of all those years of dancing and how it has all paid off because people can tell.
I love dancing. This swing dance (part of swing club) that I went to last night is definitely something I am going to try and participate in every Saturday night. It was a lot of fun, and I learned fun things! Also, the guys actually asked girls to dance...which was awesome. I love it.

Friday Fill-In
1. On my laziest day I like to sleep in, wear pajamas and glasses all day, drink hot chocolate and snuggle under a blanket with a significant other while watching a movie!
2. Crossing off things in my planner makes me feel like I'm being productive.
3. I love little amount of credits left until I graduate and big dreams.
4. This summer I want to do well in all my classes and enjoy myself the best I know how.
5. No one made me start my blog. (but I was inspired by many writers of the 100 Hour Board)
6. Red actually looks good on me and orange is a fun color that I love to wear. .
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to the campus dance with CPM, tomorrow my plans include paper writing, lunch with a ballet friend, more paper writing, a run with my roommate, and shopping and Sunday, I want to make new friends and enjoy my meetings!

Realizations
Some of you might be wondering what is going on with ST or jerkface as he has been termed in the past. I honestly don't think he realizes what happened. In fact, talking to other people who talked to him during that time, he thought I just gave up. Which isn't completely true, I was just waiting for him. So....some miscommunication. However, we're working on that, and he and I hung out Thursday night, Friday night, and last night. Last night he took me to see the new Chronicles of Narnia movie: Prince Caspian. I LOVED it!!! I thought it was fantastic. However, all the girls saying how hot Prince Caspian is and his amazing accent and what not. However, I didn't buy it. I really didn't think him that attractive and HONESTLY his accent wasn't that incredibly attractive either. Maybe it's because I was out with a good looking guy who was holding my hand and covering my eyes when the bad parts came. lol. It was cute.
So, yes, I'm giving ST another chance. I'm still doing things for me, like Speed Dating, running, I think I might go dancing this week, and pretty much all things that make me happy. If he decides that he wants to be a part of my life he will make an effort to do so. We are in contact, so that is good. He might come over for games later tonight. So that should be lots of fun. I apologize for the lack of posts, I will try to do better, I have one on dating that I'm working on. :) Have a great Sunday y'all!!!

wanting....
The only thing I can think of is that I really liked today's forum by Barta Heiner. It was really good and I was really able to connect with what she had to say. It made me reflect on my life and what I am doing and what I should be doing. However, much of what she said is still swimming in my head and isn't coherent enough for me to get down in words. I'll work on it though....have a good Tuesday y'all.

Running
Anyways...that's not the point of this post. The point is I've noticed something when I run. The past 2 times I have ran (Wednesday and Thursday evening) I get to a point where I am very into my run. I have running friends, but at this point in my run, I don't talk to them anymore, and my breathing and steps are in sync. It is a really cool feeling that I love. It's like I am one with my mind, body, soul, and the ground I am running on. I am trying to figure out how to get this mindset sooner. It's something that I believe if I had it my entire run I would feel even better than I do now at the end of a run. It's an interesting mind set to be in. I really noticed it last night. Anyways, here is my question for all you out there in the blogging world. How do i get myself into this mindset sooner? What is this wonderful phenomena? And how far should I push myself after I get into this mindset? All things to experiment with as I continue running. I'll keep you updated. ;)

Mystery Men
My coworker K had this brilliant idea one day and decided she wanted to set me up with this boy. Let's call him President Lincoln okay? So she gives me the name of President Lincoln and tells me to look him up on facebook and tell her what i think. So I take a few minutes and look up President Lincoln. I was shocked. He seemed really cool, a lover of life (sort of like yours truly), and was really cute too! I left a message for coworker K that I would be totally chill with a blind date. This was last Friday. On Monday (Cinco de Mayo) an apartment in my complex was having a party. Well, President Lincoln was planning on attending this party, as was coworker K. So coworker K came to my apartment and then introduced me to President Lincoln. We hit it off really well and I thought he was a pretty cool person. As coworker K left the party I told her that I would really like a date with President Lincoln. I found out today that she has given him my number. This makes me really excited!! I really hope he takes the opportunity to use my number and ask me out on a date. He seems awesome and someone that I could really click with. :-)
Mystery Man #2
On Wednesday, Roommate A and I went to the Runner's Corner to get new running shoes for me. It was quite the experience with me running in the store and trying on 5 pairs of shoes until I settled into a pair that I love. These are my very expensive, yet absolutely wonderful shoes.
Well...the wonderful young man who was helping me out took me up to the cash register to ring up my new purchase and he was pretty flirtatious and was making conversation. Not just small talk like you normally have, but real life conversation about how I got into dancing, running, what I want to do with my life, etc (well, everything that could fit in about 7 minutes anyways...).
He was pretty cute, sweet, and seemed like a really cute guy. My roommate claims he was flirting with me. I thought he was, and I was flirting back. However, names weren't exchanged, nor were numbers. I know nothing about this cute boy. Sigh. The only way he knows my name is by looking at the debit card transaction receipt, and that would be creepy if he contacted me because of a receipt.
So really, between my two mystery men, #1 is the only one that has potential to no longer be a mystery. I'll keep you updated. And now, I really should do something to get ready for bed. However, I am avoiding my bed right now. I don't know why, so don't ask. Also, stay tuned for an awesome post. It's coming.....

I wonder...
"Of course I will go with you," I tell him.
"Great," he says, "I'll pick you up in 40 minutes."
Forty minutes. Yikes. I raced home on my bike, eat a sandwich, watched the last 25 minutes of Gilmore Girls, and then spruced myself up and then it came. knock. knock. knock. Toffer was here! Miracles of miracles, I was ready!! Off we went to the Festival Cinemas Dollar Theater.
The last time I remember going to this theater was with my now married friend Sky Captain. Yeah, remember this date/adventure? As we walked up to the theater all the memories of that night came flooding back. However, Toffer is cooler than Sky Captain. He opened every. single. door for me, paid for my ticket (I don't care if it was only a dollar), and was a perfect gentleman all night long. He rocks.
Anyways, back to the movie. It was AWESOME. I did start to get frustrated at one point when I wanted to know the end of the story but we had to rewind to another view point, but it was a very well done movie. Quite intense.
After the movie, Toffer took me home, walked me to the door, and then as I went inside I realized all the things I had pushed to the side. I kind of started to panic just a bit. I went and talked to Roommate A, my running buddy, and we decided to still go for a run, but shorter than Monday's run. Off we went. I did much better last night compared to Tuesday night. Go me. Then I settled down, took my quiz and then read the books I needed to for Kinesiology, AND I was in bed by 11:00pm. I am the coolest. So even though I wonder about my sanity and the decisions I make, it all works out in the end.

My favorite Monday!!
Sunday, May 04, 2008
I woke up bright and early Saturday morning at 5:00am. It was SO early!!! However, it meant we are on the road at 6 am and off we went. When driving that early in the morning the roads aren't that busy, so we made good time. We stopped in Nephi and took a quick pit stop and filled up the tank. We drove some more and at this point I pulled out my laptop to type an assignment for class tomorrow. After that was finished I did some reading and then took a nap. Exciting stuff, I know. At this point I decided that it was time to take advantage of the dvd player in the suburban. Stuffles had been napping but woke up as I put in A Knight's Tale, with some of the best eye candy in the world: Heath Ledger. Sigh. It was good. Such a fun movie. We made a quick fuel stop in Panguitch and also decided to get some fun things to eat. From there Roommate A drove the rest of the way. We did stop in Page, AZ where we ate yummy Subway sandwiches. SO good. The drive started to get a little more interesting as we saw all sorts of crazy red rock mountains and runaway sage brush. It was quite the adventure.
We finished our drive in beautiful Prescott, Arizona. It was really pretty and a gorgeous 75 degrees. We got ourselves settled and then Roommate A took us on a tour of Prescott. It was a beautiful town with beautiful architecture.
This is what we saw as we drove into Prescott. Prescott Lakes. It was so pretty!
This is the Yavapi Courthouse. A gorgeous building!
A really cute Victorian house in Prescott. I LOVED this house. I want to live in something like this someday. I love it.
This is the restaraunt where we ate dinner. It was yummy food. :-D I love Mexican food.
So we had a great little tour, ate good food, and then watched The Greatest Game Ever Played. Which I hadn't seen before. However, it was a really good movie and I loved it. We then went to bed and woke up nice and early (5:30 am Arizona time) to leave at 6am Arizona time. We made really good time only stopping twice for gas.
This is a view of the canyon as we drove home. It was a pretty day to drive through the canyon.
We arrived back in Provo at approximately 4:30pm. Sigh. It was a long two days in the car, but it was a lot of fun and a nice little vacation. Don't know when that will happen again...and now back to normality!!

because this is what i do when i'm bored....
Yeah...I had fun with that. :-) Have a good weekend y'all. I'll miss you all so much while I'm in AZ!!!
Road Trip!!
In other news, today is much warmer than it was yesterday AND the sun is shining. Which is always a plus in my book. Work is pretty quiet today. Which is to be expected since it's a beautiful Friday afternoon. Who would want to be inside on a day like today?? I sure don't. :P Sigh. Okay dokay. Time for me to do some work. Have a fantastic weekend y'all. I'll be back Monday!!

April Showers bring...
In other news the extended family on my mom's side (cousins, etc) got together yesterday afternoon for a little luncheon/memorial for my grandmother. It was actually really nice. My Sister B and Brother C played the violin/cello respectively. It was a beautiful rendition of "If You Could Hie To Kolob." They did wonderfully. Then we talked about some of our memories of my Grandma and then we ate food. I love food. SO much. Then my family drove me back to Cougar Town and we ate ice cream. And then I went home to do much studying and what not. sigh. It is so cold outside. It makes me not want to do anything. Alas, I must work on some kind of homework. So off I go!
