Fantastical Evening

I had a wonderful time with dancer boy this evening. (he needs a better 'nym. I have yet to figure that out.)

Anywho, dancer boy picked me up and off we went to the Parade of Homes! We only actually looked at two Parade of Homes, but the first one we saw had a bunch of homes holding open houses and we walked through those as well. Our first house we went to was this one: #17. This home is going for 2.5 million dollars!!! It was a beautiful home. There were many things I loved about this house, and a few things I didn't like. We then looked at a house next door that was going for some ridiculous amount of money that I can't remember. It was 7,000 square feet though. Kinda of looked, and felt like a castle. It was very dark and had lots of wasted space. Not a favorite. The third house we looked at was down the street, 10,000 square feet or so and going for like 3.5 million or something like that. It was gorgeous. This house felt like a home. Although the master room had a fire place in the middle of it and that was stupid.

The next Parade of Home we went to was #15. This home was beautiful on the outside and looked very promising. We were very excited. However, once you entered the floor plan seemed a little odd and the couple who purchased the home made it very modern. (dancer boy hates modern style) There was a lot of chrome finishing, sleek lines, and a very sterile feel to the house. It definitely was more retired home-ish and not so much homey for a family. Also, from the living room/kitchen area one could see straight into the master bedroom and master bath. Not so cool. I was not a fan. Blah. It is definitely a house that would have to be kept immaculate. Which is not possible with little kids. Good thing I'm not living there. :)

I loved looking at homes. It was a lot of fun and the company was awesome. We went to Pita Pit after our adventures and it was a lot of fun seeing dancer boy interact. He's a great person and we talk so easily. After that we came back to my apartment and chatted for a while before he left. Now here I sit, and I think I'm going to go to bed. I have a lot to get done tomorrow and the more I can do the better I will feel. Especially because part of that involves a 10-page paper. eek!!!! Have a great weekend y'all!!
