is it too much to ask??

a question for all y'all out there...

is it too much to ask for a girl to find a boy who likes to play and have fun at things that don't cost a thing?

example #1: i had a blind date on saturday, and while it was a ton of fun and i had a blast (unlike most blind dates) I felt like he felt he had to spend a lot of money for it to be a good date. now I know Elder Oaks said a number of years ago that dates should be planned, paired off, and paid for...but he also said that the paid for doesn't have to be super expensive!!! So while on this blind date i felt like he was spending a ton of money, when I would rather do something that didn't cost as much money, but was still just as fun.

example #2: on friday i have a sort of date with my work boyfriend. he and i are going to the Harry Potter release party for the 7th book. i'm not going to lie, i am SUPER excited about this date thing. I mean really. All I want is good company, and loads of fun!!!! It doesn't have to cost a load of moolah...sheesh...

so now the question is out there. are there really guys who still like to do things that don't cost money but that don't consist of just cuddling on the couch? (although i like that too....) I love playing games and such and would love to just have someone like me that loves to just play and have fun...no matter the cost (even if there is none).

Dates that cost money are easier, because you don't have to think up fun things to do, you pay someone else to entertain you instead.

i guess then i want a man who doesn't have to pay to have other people entertain him, but knows how to make his own cheap entertainment. ;)

Nope. The best dates are free. A stroll, a sit by a creek, reading together, riding bikes... Anyone that feels they have to spend money is insecure. Besides, when you're married, it's all free time, so best to find out what a guy is like when he's being cheap now than learn when it's too late.
