nature amazingness

so i had to run an errand for work, and i saw a snail. i kinda just wanted to sit there and watch it crawl on the cement towards the grass, but i had to keep going, but it was kinda neat to see it crawlin'.

on another note, Duke came over for Aebelskivers last night. i was soo excited that he came. While he was at my apt. he taught me the country cha-cha, which was way exciting. :D so yeah, my weekend was good.

on yet another note, dress rehearsal on saturday didn't go as long as i thought it was going to, but i was still tired after it. but i woke up on time, it was sad though, cause Director left at 12:30 for Milwaukee...we probably won't see her again for a while. sad day. but we have a new director and i am excited to get to know her. huzzah.

all in all life is splendiferic. i love life. so much fun. and yeah. that's about all folks.

coolest thing ever

So I had THE coolest experience yesterday (Wed. may 31) at the MTC. Yep, you heard right, the MTC. You see, in Relief Society a couple of weeks ago they passed around a volunteer sheet for the TRC to be a volunteer to be an investigator for the missionaries. So I signed up for English (since I really don’t speak any other language). Well I got an email this week asking if I could come in on Wednesday, and I told I could, so off I went last night after work to go to the MTC. I have never, ever been to the MTC, but let me tell you, coolest place ever! It was so much fun! And I loved playing the part of an investigator. I listened to the first ‘discussion’ twice, each time listening and accepting, although one of the times I asked a question and the poor missionary wasn’t quite sure how to answer. I kind of felt bad. I also got taught the third ‘discussion’ twice, both times accepting to baptism. It was a weird feeling to try to be someone who has never heard about the gospel before. I can’t even imagine not having the gospel in my life. It has done so much for me, and I am extremely grateful for all that I have. Wow.

that's all.

computers=plants

ha ha ha. so funniest thing all day, but then i am easily entertained as many of you know.

So i was talking to a professor (happens to be my fav.) at work today and he was complaining that his computer kept crashing and losing all his work.
and i said "well, have you talked to it?"
prof: "talked to it?"
me: "you know, like a plant. when you talk to a plant they grow bigger and better, so wouldn't a computer work better if you talked to it?"
prof: "and what do you say to your plants alishka?"
me: "well..um...i killed my plants. not because i didn't talk to them, but because i forgot to water them"
prof: "hmm...maybe i shouldn't talk to my computer then..."

so yeah. funniest thing ever. it helps that this prof. is from austrailia so he has an awesome accent.

this weekend was pretty much uneventful...i went home and all that jazz. ate really good food. stayed up late. i love my fam. all in all, its been a good week so far. hurray for wednesday = hump day! ;)

Has a strong testimony, supportive, wants to have a family, loves kids, and can deal with my family…(it’s a long list…someone will fill it one day)

Do you want a guy to ask your dad before he asks you out? To ask me out? Nah…to marry me, definitely!

Do you want your b/f to get you chocolate or jewelry? Hmmm…I like flowers the most, but chocolate is always good.

weird dreams

So I thought that the Mary Poppins dream was weird. but no. they get more weird. yup, more weird dreams. So this is what happened. I got bed doing choreography in my head so that I could remember it for rehearsal today, then in my dream I dream that I had kids. Not just already have them, but that I HAD a kid. Weird. I already had one, and she was like a year old, and then I had another one, a cute little newborn with dark hair. Tons of dark hair. It was so weird. The crazy thing is that I was still in this company I am in right now. And all the girls were asking me if I was going to quit and I told them no, I was just taking a break. Strange. So now you know my weird dreams....Wonder if it means anything....hmmmm
