As I sit here remembering my past week I can think of one huge tender mercy in my life.
My parents.
Someone commented (to someone else, but I heard about it) about some of my actions. I had done a good deed without really thinking anything of it, but it really impressed some people that didn't really know me. I can honestly say that it is because of the way I was raised that I too the actions I did that night. My parents are so super awesome and have always been there for me through everything that I've had to deal with in my life.
Today I am grateful that my parents are my parents and I am just realizing how many of my tender mercies in my life come back to my parents. They are so great. :o)
p.s. I made things festive here on said blog - Happy Holidays!

A Christmas Gift to you - Introductions
My dearest Internet friends. I hope this Christmas morning finds you in places you love most with the people you love most.
I love giving presents. This year, I was most excited for my gift that I gave my parents. You see, life has not been very easy for them with still having two houses and the such - and I wanted to do something special for them. So I gathered up my siblings, we all pitched in and purchased a gift certifiacte to the Bed and Breakfast Association of Virginia. I made my mom tear up (which was totally the goal) and they are excited to use their gift. The greatest thing about it was that when I purchased their gift certificate I entered the drawing for their monthly giveaway....and then I WON! So...My parents got double the amount they would have originally which made it even better. :o) Happy Day.
Now, I have a gift for each of you!!! Today I am going to introduce you to a new group of characters on my blog and a meme that I would like to call Dating Battle Stories. Each time I have a fun adventure with dating I will bring up this fun meme. It won't be a regular weekly thing like my other two memes, but a meme regardless. Also, each of these Dating Battle Stories will feature a different picture - thanks to my awesome roommate who likes to draw stick figures of me and fun situations with boys.
So...let us begin with the Introductions of the cast of characters from some dating battle stories that I have had as of late. The next couple of weeks will be me playing catch up on the fun times I have had in December and then you can look forward to the occasional Dating Battle Story in the months following as I date and flirt (because I'm really good at doing those things.)
Without further ado....
The Characters:
Sweetums - Named not becuase he looks anything like the muppet....but he does love the Muppets. I know Sweetums from High School. He loves music, pumpkin spice egg nog, and road trips. He's very nice and gives the best hugs. I've crushed on him in times past, but the timing has never quite worked for us.
The Australian - Named because he was born and then lived in (for a few years) Australia. He just got home from his mission in Japan, is Roommate A's boyfriend's friend and is the nicest person ever.
Mad Dog - I've known Mad Dog for years and when I first met him swing dancing that is how he introduced himself. He had a hand in creating Blue Tango (my favorite dancing venue) and has crushed on me for a long time.
Blindman - I haven't met Blindman as of yet. Roommate A is setting me up with this person. All I know about him is that he's "cool" and that he lives with Roommate A's boyfriend.
So there you go. The cast of characters for future Dating Battle Stories. I hope you're looking forward to them. I know I am! Now...I must go and run off that apple pie from last night.

Happy Christmas Eve!!!
I love, love, love Christmas Eve. I have posted about it several times in past years. It is just a happy day in our house. This year I am more excited for what gift my siblings and I got my parents. I could care less as to what I got - I know I will love my gifts, but this year it doesn't seem to matter to me that much.
It has been odd being here in some ways. I have never been out to see my family without leaving a significant other on the other side of the country. I am a little jealous of Sister B and her boyfriend....but at the same time I am okay with it. It feels right and I'm okay being single this year. I know I say this almost every year in my journal - but I can't help but think that this could be the last year of the holidays being JUST our family. I wouldn't be surprised if there is at least one significant other here next year...or something. I don't know. Someday things will change and it will be interesting when they do.
Enough of me waxing poetic...Happy Christmas Eve!!! enjoy all of your lovely traditions. :o)

NaBloPoMo 2010
Looking at the archives it has been 2 years since I last participated in NaBloPoMo. I think I'm going to try to participate this year. You'll find the same normal memes...and then other random things. But then, I'm a random person so it will seem pretty normal. :o)
First off, I have to say that last night's workout was HARD. There was at least 2x that I remember that I wanted to give up and just stop or slow down but I didn't do it! I wanted to complete that workout, and complete it I did! I feel pretty good this morning (if not a little sore) and I am actually looking forward to doing said workout again tomorrow evening.
Second off, It's Tuesday. But it's also kind of Wednesday because I don't work Friday this week (HALLELUJAH!) I am hoping today and tomorrow go by fast, because I am really looking forward to Thursday. :o)
Finally, because it is Tuesday we get the lovely Ten on Tuesday meme. You're welcome. :o)
1. Do you color? If you do, is it with markers, crayons, colored pencils, etc.?
hmmm... I love to color, but I can't remember the last time I really sat down and colored. I am a crayon girl. Love Crayons.
2. What’s the most organized part (or system) in your house?
my closet. it's done by color. :o)
3. What’s the most unorganized part (or system) in your house?
hmmm..this one kitchen drawer. It's driving me nuts. I think I'll fix that this week....
4. If you had unlimited amounts of time and money, what museum would you want to see and why?
Hmmm...I'm not sure I'd pick a museum as the first thing I'd go to...but I think I would want to visit some famous art museum in Paris. Or Italy. If only because then I could tour the rest of the country....
5. What is your favorite part of the fall season?
the smell of Fall in the air. Crunching leaves. Hot Apple Cider. Cuddling under a blanket.
6. Did you dress up for Halloween?
Yes I did! I was two things: one, a pink lady w/my coworkers and two, a flapper w/SwingKid dressed up in his zoot suit. We were awesome.
7. Have you started Christmas shopping?
I know EXACTLY what I'm getting my parents. I'm not sure what sibling I have yet and SwingKid always gives me heartburn when it comes to picking presents. He loves the practical gifts that he doesn't like to go shop for, but I believe Christmas/Birthday presents are for FUN things, not necessarily needs (at least, not all the time!)
8. Do you crack your knuckles?
yup.
9. If you had to live in another city for a year (all expenses paid), which city would you choose?
easy. New York. I'd love to go to Broadway all the time and I would go see every professional ballet company at least once. (probably more than once). OR! I'd want to live in a foreign city. That would be awesome.
10. Do you have any reoccurring dreams?
not really. I have had reoccurring dreams in the past, but not any as of late.
So there you go. A few fun facts about me on a Tuesday. Now...go forth and conquer! (or something equally awesome)

dix mardi
well guys. It's ten on tuesday time. (did you like my french twist on that? I sure did) Anyways. Here you go. about 10 questions answered by yours truly.
1. Favorite way to travel (plane, train, automobile, etc.)
I love traveling. I ADORE a good road trip and planes and I happen to be pretty good friends. I've never been on a train (that I can remember. My parents took me on a train when I was little) so of all the way I've traveled...I'm going to go with automobile. They are roomier than airplanes.
2. Where’s your favorite place to travel to that you’ve been to?
Hmmm... this one is a difficult one. I've been to some pretty cool places. I'm going to go with Washington D.C. though. I love that place. There are will always be something that I have never seen which makes it so exciting to visit!
3. Where’s the place that you want to go but have never been?
Europe. hands down. That and Greece and Italy. yeah. Basically anywhere on the other side of the world would be pretty cool.
4. Do you deal with traffic well?
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. sometimes. :o)
5. Ever had an emergency while traveling?
once upon a time when I was 8.5 our engine blew up while driving to Washington. We were in the middle of nowhere Idaho. We ended up spending that Thanksgiving holiday w/our cousins' (who we were going to visit in WA) family for Thanksgiving. (our cousins came too) It was quite the adventure.
6. Do you have a passport? What countries have you been to?
I do have a passport. I got it for a trip I thought I was going to take to Russia. Then...I never went. So I've never used it. I want to use it someday before it expires though.
7. Are you’ve light packer or do you pack everything but the kitchen sink?
I can do both. It depends on my mood and the purpose of the trip. I can definitely go both ways though.
8. Do you take the fastest route or the road less traveled?
it depends. how fast do I need/want to get to where I'm going?
9. Do any activities on the road? (like road games, reading, sleeping, etc. )
oh yes. all of it. Awesome road trip music, games, reading, sleeping, etc. I love road trips!
10. Use a paper map or GPS?
paper map from Google Maps. love me some Google Maps.

catch me if you can
editor's note: i started this yesterday and meant to post it. and then...life happened and I didn't. i'm sorry. So...pretend this posted yesterday. Although, I know I'm not going to be able to post again today. SO! a real weekend update probably won't be here until tomorrow. but at least it will be here!!
While my weekend was mostly relaxing, I really wasn't "around." I did check my reader a couple times over the weekend, but still ended up with a bazillion unread posts. I think I'm okay with that . Mostly. Gives me something to look at when I need a break at work - especially since I'm on a Facebook fast this week as part of my Day Zero goals. whew. Today was HARD, but I think it will only get easier. At least, it better....
So, I should really do a weekend recap, and I will I promise! However, I have pictures! (GASP! I know! real life pictures!) And they are so much fun and I want to share them with you oh so much, but right now I'm lazy and I don't want to get off my butt and go and get my camera. So...since it's Tuesday I'll leave you with a little Ten on Tuesday meme and then promise to post about all the fun that was had tomorrow. Okay? okay. loves.
1. If given the opportunity, would you choose a mediocre job that paid well or your dream job that paid poorly?
dream job. hands down. I actually do have my dream job - just another job to go with it too. My dream job definitely pays poorly. c'est la vie
2. What is your favorite thing about the 4th of July? (For the foreigners: What is your impression of the 4th of July?)
hmmm. I love how summery it is! It's everything that is summer personified into one big day. Most of all, I love the fireworks.
3. What’s the most random fact you know about American history?
um...I really can't think of a random fact right now. I'm not a huge history nut. at all.
4. What is the best fireworks display you’ve ever seen?
Well. I don't tend to remember the firework shows from years past. Except last year's awful one in cougartown. ugh. This year, I went to PG with SwingKid and his family (more deets laters!) and watched an AMAZING show. minus the part when the fireworks attacked the audience. but that's another story
5. Who taught you how to put on makeup?
my mom sort of did, and then i learned more when i was taughter by my ballet director and then my current roommate AF taught me even MORE. Now I'm pretty much awesome at my makeup. maybe.
6. Have you ever gone through a financial planning process? Tell us about it.
sort of. I currently use Mint to budget my finances. My parents were pretty diligent to teach me good budgeting skills as a kid too.
7. What was your favorite outfit as a kid? Bonus points for pictures.
hmmm. I can't think of my FAVORITE outfit. I don't remember clothes as a child. ha. I do remember wearing very 80s style outfits for a long time in the early 90s. I was awesome as a kid.
8. Do you prefer a beach, lake, swimming pool, or no water?
I've only been to the beach once. I think I would like it more if I could spend more time there. Otherwise, I love the swimming pool. Lakes seems way to icky for me. Unless it's some beautiful spring lake or something. maybe. nah, i still like pools better.
9. Do you recycle? If not, why?
at work we recycle paper and cans. i participate in this recycling.
10. What are your thoughts and feelings about the Twilight Saga?
well. i love the fluff of the books. the third book is definitely my favorite, and from what i hear it's the best movie as well. I hated the second movie and disliked the book. The ending is lame and cheap in the 4th book and if i was one of the movie directors i would rewrite the ending. especially since they've taken such liberties with the first two movies. sigh. i'm in love with MUCH better books these days.

Ten on Tuesday + other scattered thoughts
As I was getting ready and driving to work this morning I know I had some clever things to blog. Then I realized that some of those clever things to blog are slightly TMI, and I'm second guessing myself on posting some of my clever things. This makes me sad.
Other things that are scattered in my brain today:
1. What does your car say about you? If you don’t have a car, what kind of car would be your daily driver?
Um. It says I'm conservative and boring. If I had gotten the yellow car like I originally wanted then it would be more representative of ME. Alas, my car says I'm smart and planning for the future, or something.
2. To this point, what has been your purpose on this planet?
I think it has been to help people connect with movement in ways they haven't in the past.
3. If you could trade places with any person for any amount of time, who would it be?
Someone who lives a very different life then me so I could see the other side of the spectrum.
4. What is your favourite kind of cake? If you don’t like cake, what is it about it that you don’t like?
Oh I love yellow cake with chocolate frosting. I also LOVE red velvet cake.
5. Would you have wanted to live in your parents’, grandparents’ or great-grandparents’ generation or only your own?
hmmm...my grandparents grew up in the time of the great depression. I think it would be interesting, but not super happy. Now, my great-grandparents time would be pretty awesome. bring on the constant swing dancing.
6. Do you have any home remedies for illnesses, cleaning or otherwise?
hmmm. not so much.
7. What is your ideal weather situation?
I'm a fan of the mid-high 70's with a slight breeze and sunny-partly cloudy skies. Either that or a great, big thunderstorm.
8. What is your best attribute (physical or personal)?
SwingKid mentioned the other day that I have great legs. So I guess right now, it's my legs. Personality wise I'd have to go with my optimism.
9. Do you text or surf while driving?
well. it's illegal. so no. but i do check them at the stop lights...but not while driving.
10. How long have you known your best friend?
hmmm. one of my best friends i've known since i was 8 (which was a long time ago) and the other since I was 14. so between 10-16 yrs give or take a year or two.
Other things that are scattered in my brain today:
- I have a bruise on the bottom of my foot. This is not fun.
- My right butt cheek hurts when sitting for a long time. This does not bode well for sitting at a desk all day.
- Greek yogurt is pretty yummy stuff. Especially when mixed with raspberries, strawberry fruit popsicles and orange juice.
- I really want a full body massage.

A little recap and some funny things
SO!! I was trying so hard to be vague about my weekend plans because I know my parents read my blog and part of my weekend plans included a HUGE service project for my mom's Mother's Day gift. It turned out PERFECT. Go to this blog: http://radishtinkle.blogspot.com/ to see what my sister and I did for her. It was a ton of fun and worked out splendidly as our gift. :o)
This weekend also consisted of me making a few new recipes, some good, some not so good AND getting to enjoy family dinner with SwingKid's family. They are so awesome and we had a lot of fun hanging out on Sunday evening.
I also read a book this weekend. Well, I read a book on Sunday. It was the second in the Raine Benares books. If you like fantasy and fun times, you should DEFINITELY check them out. I'm a little bit into the third one and I'm loving every minute of it.
Finally, I saw this via a blog I stalk and I highly encourage you to watch it. It's fabulously funny and if you have the Monday Blues, you should watch it. Right now.
HA HA HA. I hope that made you laugh as much as it made me laugh. :o)

Ten on Tuesday
A little something new today. I follow the lovely Kara over at Chatter (yes, I'm a blog stalker. deal with it k?) and she pulls a fun meme from Chelsea at Roots and Rings every Tuesday.
Since I am super sore from my abs and glutes class last night and I'm having a hard time concentrating on anything right now. SO! I'm also going to do this fun little Ten on Tuesday.
1. Do you prefer markers, crayons, or coloured pencils?
I LOVE crayons. If I get more than one then I like a combo of markers and crayons or crayons and coloured pencils. So that I can outline pictures and color in with a different texture. I love texture.
2. As a child, how did your parents celebrate your birthday? (Parties, cake, you pick the dinner, etc.)
Every even year we had a friends party and odd years were family only parties. We always got to pick our favorite meal for dinner and our favorite kind of cake. (there was ALWAYS cake) Sometimes we got breakfast in bed and we were never required to do our chores that day - someone else would do it.
3. How do you feel about leggings?
I'm not a fan. I think it's a stupid fashion and there is no point to them. I am just not a fan at all.
4. How do you prefer to follow directions? With a map? Words?
I prefer google maps. Or someone who has been there before to tell me how to get there.
5. What do you eat for snack?
Lately it's some kind of vegetable, a fruit and cheez-its. Not all at once mind you, but one of those at some point during the day, every day.
6. Have you ever ordered anything from an infomercial or bought any As Seen on TV products?
no, but there have been times when I've really wanted to.
7. What’s your favourite thing about summer?
the SUN!!!!
8. Do you have a tattoo? What and where is it?
I don't have a single tattoo.
9. Are you good at journaling?
I used to be AMAZING at writing in my journal all the time, but lately I haven't been feeling it so I've sort of stopped. I update my journal about once a week these days.
10. What’s your favourite way to eat a hamburger?
It has to have a bazillion pickles, mustard and ketchup. Then I like to pick it up and chow down. Dang it. Now I want a hamburger.....

the ABC's of VA
So this year, to document my little trip to visit my family in VA I'm going to do the ABC's of my trip. I had a wonderful trip and did many fun things.
A is for Avatar. This was an AMAZING movie. I really enjoyed it. It was visually stimulating and the soundtrack was just freakin' awesome.
B is for Bowl games. Specifically the Maaco Bowl Game Las Vegas. aka the Las Vegas Bowl Game. BYU vs. Oregon St. BYU WON!! (Also Utah won, that is good for the conference)
C is for CHRISTMAS!!!! woot woot! The wonderful things I got this year include: a waffle maker, gift cards, money, slippers, chocolate, a super cute apron, etc. It was a lovely Christmas.
D is for Dinner. I helped out a TON more this year than I have in years past. My favorite part was decorating the table for our feast. It looks gorgeous.
E is for equality. specifically, sibling equality. I forget what it's like to have to share chores and other things with my siblings. Lately, it's only been Brother C and Sister D living at home. So having me and Sister B at home again throws things out of whack and the other two are demanding equality. It sort of drives me nuts, to be honest. sigh. oh well.
F is for Family. I love my family. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them. At the same time, I'm glad to be back in MY BED and closer to the BF and all that jazz. I definitely missed him a ton.
G is for Grandpas. I only have my 2 grandpas alive these days. My maternal grandfather lives with my family, and I enjoyed being able to spend a little bit of time with him. I haven't seen him in a year and so it was fun to be around him again. Grandparents are just awesome.
H is for a House. Specifically, our new house. My parents did a great job of not making us feel like just workhorses to help move the family across town. It was weird to spend the holidays in a different house from last year.
I is for ICE. Our new driveway really likes to attract the ice. This is not fun when wearing 3.5 inch heels. Just sayin'
J is for jokes. My family loves to make fun of me and they didn't disappoint this year. i don't remember all the things we laughed at, but we laughed a lot.
K is for Kangroos. and lions, or more specifically Food Lion. Random, I know, but it's a grocery store in VA and close to my fam and well...I went there. It was festive. Or something.
L is for Love. I love my family. and SwingKid and vacations that I get paid for. :o) Mmm...love.
M is for Money. I got some Money for Christmas. YAY money!!!
N is for Nutella. Which I did not eat at all while in VA, BUT I saw it at the Food Lion store...so it counts right?
O is for O Christmas Tree. I got to decorate our tree this year for the first time in many years. It was pleasant. And enjoyable.
P is for Planes. I rode two of them and sat on three. Long story. See previous postage for explanations.
Q is for quagmires. I spelled this word in a spelling game. I am awesome.
R is for Ratatouille. I got this movie for Christmas, and I'm rather excited by that fact. :o) Woo hoo for building up my movie collection!!
S is for Star Trek. I got this movie for my daddy for Christmas. We watched it the evening of Christmas. It was a fun watch. What was even more fun was the fact that it had a digital copy and I put it on my iPod. :o) Now I can watch it too. WEE!!
T is for Twitter. I twittered quite a bit in VA. Are you following me? Cause you should.
U is for uhh.....
V is for vacation. I needed a vacation. this little trip was a great vacation. that I got paid for it was a HUGE plus.
W is for White Christmas. I watched the movie with my fam Christmas Eve (LOVE IT!) and then there's the fact that I HAD a white Christmas. :o)
X you know how hard it is to find words that start with X? I know. Lots of word gaming played this weekend. I know. Trust me.
Y is for Yellow. My mom and I are both very yellow people. We like to play when we're together. We played. It was fun. :o)
Z is for......nothing. It's the end. Hope you had a great holiday. I know I did.

Adventures in Flying to VA December 2009
Well folks, I made it to VA. There were many adventures along the way though.
Let me start off by reminding you that the East had a HUGE storm Friday/Saturday. There are 20 inches of snow all around the house and it's CRAZY outside. So, needless to say after all the flights being canceled on Saturday, we were worried that ours would have a ton of delays. Luckily for us, our flight was scheduled as normal.
Sister B and i got to the airport 1 hour and 45 minutes before we were scheduled to leave and so we had plenty of time to get through security. This was good, because I forgot to take off my nifty knee sleeve that has metal down the sides and I went off in the booth 3 times. I ended up getting the FULL metal detector swipe. Of course, I'm wearing a bra with a metal support AND pants that have little snaps EVERYWHERE and the wand is WAY more sensitive than the walk-through detector...so I literally got the full pat down. It was hilarious.
We get to our gate and have plenty of time to wait. It wasn't awful though and soon we were on the plane. The captain comes on to tell us we have to wait for the defroster guys to come and defrost our engines before we can take off. Well, an hour later we're still sitting there because the defroster guys got confused and forgot about us. Finally they come to defrost our engines, but then they're .... stupid? and put the wrong kind of stuff in our engines. We're not allowed to leave. Instead, they make us all pile off the plane, they gave us a meal voucher and then said they'd bring another plane to us. Finally, at 12:30 pm we were cleared for take off and we were in the air to VA. We were 2.5 hours later than scheduled so my poor family had to chill in the airport. It was sad.
We finally landed and there was a sweet reunion down by the baggage claim. We drove to the house...except when my dad pulled in the driveway of a house I was confused. You see, it wasn't the same house as last year. Now - a little back story. My family moved to a really old colonial house last August. The heater has never worked, and the landlords (my family was renting) wouldn't fix it until we closed on the house. (it's how it was written in the contract) It has been REALLY frustrating for my parents. They started looking at their options, and found another house that doesn't have as much land, or a place for my mom's studio, BUT it has working heat and is overall just BETTER for my family. So! We drive up to this house and my parents tell us to get out and go say hi to Grandpa. So needless to say things are crazy around here. Things are still in boxes everywhere. The tree just got put up a day or so ago and has to be decorated. (which will be fun to do! i missed this last year) there are no christmas cookies or fudge or ANYTHING in the house so we have to make it all.
Pretty much this vacation is going to rock because i am getting paid to decorate, cook, and eat. I'm rather excited about it all. Hopefully the rest of my vacation is not as eventful and our flight back to UT goes pretty normal.
Now, I think I'm going to go cook something yummy. :o)

Friday!
It's my last Friday before my lil sister, Sister B, comes to become not only Sister B, but Roommate B as well! YAY!!! I'm so excited!!! Woot!! :-D
Fridayness....
1. All children alarm their parents, if only because you are forever expecting the worst when you hear the screams.
2. Show me a good loser and I will show you a bad winner.
3. eating an entire container of ice cream is like eating an entire box of chocolate liqueurs at one time.
4. Too bad that all the people who know how to run the country are busy in la la land and ignoring the country.
5. I have yet to hear a man ask for advice on how to combine _____ and _____. okay. i'm really at a loss on this one. i have zero creativity.
6. It is impossible to think of any good meal, no matter how plain or elegant, without dessert or my friends in (at) it.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a haircut from SwingKid's sister!, tomorrow my plans include basking in the sun (if the rain stays away) and a wedding reception for my really good friend Wiwi Kalawi and Sunday, I want to relax!

poor car, bad back, early to work, amazing boyfriend....the beginnings of a strange week: i can feel it.
poor car: my car has been having issues. i think i killed the battery a few too many times. SwingKid, being the wonderful, marvelous boyfriend that he is picked me up at my apartment (since i have a dead car - no jumping would help. :( ) got my battery out of my car, took me to work, then went to an auto store and got me a new battery. we'll put it in after i get off of work and hopefully that will make it ALL better.
bad back: ever since my accident a week ago, my lower back has been giving me some issues. I'm thinking of seeing a chiropractor. any suggestions for one in the provo area?
early to work: work called me this morning before I got home from my run. the receptionist called in sick, and with one of the other girls out on vacation (Australia, JEALOUS!!!) they asked me to come in early. So...instead of working 12-4 like planned, i'll end up being at work from 10-5. yay extra $$$!!!
amazing boyfriend: first off, see poor car above. Second off, SwingKid sat next to my parents (BY HIMSELF) at graduation on Friday, took many awesome pictures AND went to dinner with me and my parents Saturday night. He did a great job entertaining and talking with them. made me happy. i'm definitely the luckiest duck in the pond these days.
all of these things lead up to the beginnings of a strange week. Being a new graduate, having a new job, and all sorts of other things i thought this week would start off differently. but why would life go the way i want it to? lol....here's to a GREAT (albeit strange) week. :-)

Graduation Friday
1. Apparently there's some sort of celebration going on around here.
2. i love a sunny day.
3. 2009 has been different than anything i expected so far.
4.i can't believe that was it.
5. For too long I've been waiting for graduation, and now it's here!!
6. I am not obsessed with chocolate; I am not!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to celebrating graduation with family friends and my parents, tomorrow my plans include chillin' with the p-rents and then going out to dinner with them and SwingKid and Sunday, I want to do something...i don't know what yet!

hi
i promise i haven't disappeared. but with studying for my one final, taking the one final, getting in a car accident, trying to get my car fixed as cheaply as possible and starting a new job, life has been crazy!!!
as far as the accident goes...my fault. i ran into a car. oh well. my car sustained most of the damage. i'm totally fine. my car....will be fine soon. i hope.
finals...OVER AND DONE!!! NEVER AGAIN TO TAKE A FINAL!!!!
I picked up my cap and gown this afternoon. i tried it on...i look like a blueberry. oh well. i'll live. i hope. :o) my parents fly in tomorrow night and we're going to play all weekend! yay!
so yeah....life moves on, and it's crazy. that's all i have to say about it.

Adventures of me
so yesterday was full of adventures. It all began with the normal company class and rehearsal. followed by my own rehearsal (since i'm now performing in June. have i mentioned that i haven't been on pointe in a year and i'm now trying to get myself into shape to do that? yeah...not fun!)
after all that, Roommate R and I went down to Payson to do Sister B's hair along with her 3 friends. It was quite festive, and we managed to get them all done and beautiful before their dates picked them up. SUCCESS!!!
THEN roommate R and I went swing dancing. We were on our way home...when I got pulled over by a cop. for the FIRST time in my life! I guess I didn't quite stop at the stop sign...oops. BUT the police officer was really nice and let me off with just a warning - as long as i stopped twice at the next stop sign. :-) which i did.
Today has been a beautiful Easter Sunday. Sister B goes home tomorrow, I have 3 more classes to attend and 3 finals to deal with (only one of them happens during finals week though. so pretty much life will be a piece of cake as of Tuesday) and my parents will be here in a week and a half. Life is fabulous.

Stressed
but only for a day or two.
once i give my presentation in Dance History in 1.5 hours I will be fairly home free in that class. I'll just have to worry about the midterm and final, which shouldn't be that hard. :-)
Then I have some lesson planning to deal with today, but once that's done life will be easy for a few weeks.
I also need to finish the choreography for my senior project. However, I am SO close to doing this, I can taste it. I'm hoping to teach it this weekend when I have rehearsal. :-) wee!!! Once that's done, I just have to rehearse it and get the style down. Yay!
That's really all that's stressing me out right now. My parents bought their plane tickets to come see me graduate. Awesomeness!!
ALSO! I get to go to the Draper Temple Open House today with SwingKid. I'm rather excited. The last temple I walked through was the Mount Timpanogos Temple way back in 1996! So, today will prove to be an exciting day. :-) Have a great Tuesday y'all!

7 things
well, little Giovanni Schwartz tagged me in this 7 random things about me. I feel like I've done things like this many, many times before and that you already know everything about me.
However, I will do my best to give you 7 random things about me
1) My biggest pet peeve when teaching ballet students is when they don't give themselves or the teacher/director the proper respect. I got really mad at the students on Saturday because they were talking during class and rehearsal. It's seriously my biggest pet peeve.
2) I know I've mentioned this before, but I'll mention it again: I want to be on America's Next Top Model just because I love photo shoots and getting my picture taken.
3) People ask me what I'm doing after graduation, and while I don't know completely I do have somewhat of a plan and I'm not really that nervous about it.
4) I really don't like spaghetti.
5) I've lost weight...at least that's what SwingKid has been telling me for the past week...
6) I'm nervous about keeping off the weight I'm currently losing. I need a long-term plan for my short-term goal.
7) I have an awesome relationship with my parents.
And as far as tagging goes...if you have never commented on my blog (aka you're a lurker...) - I want you! to consider yourself tagged...and let me know that you've done it!
Happy Monday!
