halluciniations

Someone told me the other day when I mentioned I was on a codeine cocktail for this awful sickness I have, that codeine tends to cause hallucinations. The first thing that came to my mind was the fact that I believed that because the afternoon before when I had stayed home from school and work I had slept and during that deep sleep I had a crazy hallucination. It was so real. In this hallucination the sun was shining and a good friend came over and just held me so that I could feel better. I woke up and watched him leave and told him to not be afraid to call me so we could hang out again. It was a nice hallucination, one that I thought was real. When I woke up, I honestly had to think if it had happened or not.

The other hallucination happened this afternoon. I was watching President Hinckley's funeral and I fell asleep. So in this hallucination I was sleeping and my phone started vibrating and my roommate decided that it would be a good idea to put my phone by my head it bothered me so bad that I picked it up and threw it across the room. It stopped vibrating. Then it started again, and this same roommate put it by my head again. This time I yelled "No, don't do that, it hurts! I don't want it!" I proceeded to make it stop vibrating and threw it again. When I woke up with a start the first thing I did was look to where I had left my phone on the table, it was still there. And it wasn't on vibrate. So I asked my other roommate if I had said anything and she said no. So at least my hallucinations don't include vocalizations.

These hallucinations have been so real to me! It's been incredible, truly incredible.

Have you ever had hallucinations? What have they been like?

reason #598 why i hate being sick

I HATE BEING SICK.

Especially right now.

I have turned down 3 dates in the past 24-hours because I am sick. THREE DATES!!!! That never happens! And as my mom said when I called to tell her, I'll probably not get asked out again until April knowing my luck.

Argh! The sad thing is that they were all with boys that I really like and would have loved going out with. And I had to turn them all down. [sigh] I hope I get better soon. This stinks.

sick

I am at home sick today. I hate staying home sick. Hate it!!! I'm the type of person that tries to keep going and going until I collapse. Except for today. I decided it would be better if I stayed home today. So here I sit, all by myself on my couch wishing I was in class. Who does that? Who wishes they were in class? I know why I'm wishing I was in class. See, if I was in class, it would mean that I'm not sick and that life would be normal. Instead I'm at home thinking of everything I would be doing if I wasn't still in my pajamas. [sigh] this sucks. i can think of things that would make this better...but that would be me living in the past, and that's not something i enjoy doing. so if anyone has nothing better to do and wants to sit with an invalid i'll be here all day long. :P

what do you do when you're sick?

my band

I've been meaning to post this for quite some time now. However, with everything else that I've wanted to write about (i'm trying to post more often), instead of posting it the same day as something else, I thought it deserved it's own day. So here it is...thanks to chillygator for showing me how it's done. I know present to you:

Ghetto Fabulous' new album: Strangeness in the Proportion.

It suits me don't ya think?

yuck, ick, gross and water logged to boot

there is something doing the funky chicken in my throat. no joke. it's driving me nuts. my throat is scratchy and it hurts. a cough decided to grace my presence about mid-morning and that makes my throat hurt even more because it's that deep, intense kind of cough. and man alive it is not comfortable!!!

To try and help this i started my morning by being on campus at 7am to observe a 1-hour ballet class (that didn't help, but this next part did). While sitting in that class I managed to drink 20 oz of orange juice. (well almost, I finished it at work) From there I went to work where I drank 20 oz of "energy" vitamin water, I continued to drink that throughout my next class and finished that at 11. I then walked up the stairs to watch an amazing devotional by Paul Rusesabagina. (the guy depicted in Hotel Rwanda) Before that started I filled up my water bottle with normal water, and started to drink that. I finished that 20 oz water bottle while at work. Then it was off to ballet class, where I attended with a full 20 oz water bottle. Drank the entire thing during class. After class I filled up my water bottle again, and drank my 5th 20-oz bottle of liquid (still water at this point) during rehearsal. If you've been paying attention and are any good at math, that adds up to 100-oz of liquid from 7am to 7pm. That's a lot of liquid!! I have some water sitting here by me now. I have to go to the bathroom so often, it's crazy!! I do feel like it's helped a little bit, but I definitely still feel sick. :P yuck, ick, gross.....
